We need to take a look at ourselves and focus on doing what makes us happy. A lot of people would hate us and judge us for reasons best known to them but we need to understand that it has nothing to do with us but it has everything to do with the battles they are dealing with inside. Most people try to project unto us the ugliness they feel inside and this is why I don't get bothered when people try to label me wrongly but I just focus on what makes me happy.
What makes you happy? Are you easily dragged into the drama that others try to create? Some people are fueled by drama but we don't have to attend the show especially when they are professing something else and yet the ugliness deep inside them shows the opposite. A lot of things make me happy and I would never trade that for what anyone else thinks.
We are easily influenced by what others think of us and we need to understand that people's loyalty lies to whoever offers them a better facility and that's why we don't have to take anyone too serious when they confuse our gesture for competition. I always remind myself why I started what I am doing anything I want to feel discouraged
It's okay to feel discouraged but you don't have to give in to it. It's okay for others to have a different opinion about you from who you are. Life can either bless you or bury you and it's never about what others say about you that matters but what you say to yourself when they are done talking and the truth is, people would never stop talking.
Some people are miserable and they want to see others as miserable as they are so they would fight dirty like a pig to reduce you to their level. When you fight dirty with a pig, they won't only drag you down and mess you up, they will also beat you with experience. Never forget to focus on what makes you happy.
I love writing and I would say that's one of my many gifts. It comes to me with ease and that's why it looks like I am not easily discouraged when things happen. It's my go-to because I see it as a way of getting things off my chest, pencilling down what goes on in my head and also as a way of reaching out to people who might be going through a particular challenge. So, when I am unhappy (I have my moments too) the only thing I run to is to write. It refreshes me and makes me happy.
We worry too much about what others think of us rather than focus on doing what we know how to do best. Even at your best, you still won't be good enough for some people so why allow others to rob you of your happiness? Why allow people to get into your head to make you lose doing what makes you happy? No one should worth that much and the earlier we start focusing on doing what makes us happy, the better - as long as you are not cheating others, taking anyone's life or instigating bitterness and strife, I believe we all have a conscience that makes us know when we are on the path of wrong and I still understand that some are also dead to their conscience.
What makes you happy can be relative because most people would argue that what if what makes them happy is at the detriment of others. I am not focusing on the material acquisition of things, I am only asking us to look inward and focus on doing what we know how to do best; our talents. Many people become so creative when they suffer rejection. They channel that anger, that bitterness into something creative and that's the angle I am coming from.
Most of the time when I am unhappy, I just want to make others happy because I love giving too. You can't give what you don't have, you would argue but I tend to have happiness, I just might not feel up to it at a certain moment but it's deep inside me. Giving is another thing I go to when writing still won't get rid of that unhappiness. Seeing others smile and happy makes me happy. I want to be responsible for someone to go to bed, thanking God for coming in contact with me.
When you give, there is this sheer happiness that overwhelms you knowing you did something good. I am not talking about those who give to show off or those who give to get noticed or even those who give to make a statement but I am talking about those who genuinely gave from their heart without any expectation whatsoever because it wasn't for the glam but to make a difference in the life of someone.
What am I driving at? When people talk you down when people hate you without a reason when people join forces with others to make people see you in a different light than you truly are, learn to do the things that make you happy. It has a way of taking that negativity away from you to remind you why you started doing what you are doing.
For some, it could be as little as playing their favourite game or taking a walk but we sometimes focus on the hurt and pain too much that we forget the things that make us happy. People will always talk, many will always hate and our intentions would always be wrongly judged but we must never forget to focus on what makes us happy. If hate is what makes others happy, let them... If fueling drama is what makes others happy, let them, don't attend the show, just focus on doing the good things you know how to do best... People will always talk anyway...

Many live other people's lives instead of theirs, they wait to get approved by others rather than doing what they know is right and makes them happy. What is the need being men pleasers?
