Limit Number Of Articles On Read.Cash
I write this article as a "clarion call" on the management of our esteemed platform, read.cash to limit the number of publishable articles to maximum of five per day per writer. This is very crucial and deemed necessary if the management is keen on realising the objective of creating the website and want potential sponsors to commit their funds on regular basis. I can observe vividly that some unscrupulous elements on the platform are just interested in earning BCH, either by hook or crook. In view of this, they've resulted to plagiarising other peoples work on read.cash, without minding the legal consequences the owners of the noble website could face from the original authors if such arise. Some practitioners of this nefarious act are so myopic in their doings to the extent that they could not even edit what they've copied and dumped on read.cash. I am forced to mention this writer, @Anuragjr who has published more than ten plagiarized and unedited articles just this morning. My comments on some of the articles have justified his actions, else he should prove to us the articles are his original work. Likewise, some community moderators are not helping read.cash. They are just allowing garbages in to the communities. Yesterday, I rejected an article in a community as it is not fit to be accepted there based on the topic and content. Alas! within few minutes the article surfaced on the homepage. Are we really serious at all? Are we helping read.cash or just parasiting it? Please let's put all hands on the deck to ensure the success of this first-class blogging site. We shouldn't turn it to a dumping ground for toxic articles that can repel the outsiders away. I hereby urge the management of read.cash to use its good office to deliberate on my opinion and possibly add it to its ongoing restructuring operations. Long live read.cash!

Any idea to improve read.cash is important, but if you do this limitation, spammers will create new accounts and continue to spam. Spam is a big problem and not easy to get under control.
> but if you do this limitation, spammers will create new accounts and continue to spam. Exactly
Your comment is highly welcomed. In fact, the issue of spamming on read.cash is becoming serious headache. But I believe with time changes will occur. Thanks.
Perhaps he wasn't here to write at the beginning
The problem with any limits per user is that it's very easy to create a new user. It takes a few seconds. A little bit of patience, please, we do have a plan, we just need a bit of time. In the coming weeks it should become pretty pointless to spam.
Your feedback to us is encouraging. Read.cash, among other blogging sites has brighter future and vision. We users really need to support it to realise the vision. Thanks.
Its a burning issue for read.cash, but by limiting the artical can not be a solution for it because anyone can easily create another account .thats why, read.cash has to make some authentic rule to prevent it.
Thats an great idea! I even rejected some of articles on my community! The problem is people are just wruting anything, copting anything just for those 20points per article! If you are good on your work, you dont need to publish 5 to 6 article per day! Just write a meaningful article, people will support you.
Yah! You are correct. It is not a matter of how many articles written by someone, but the impact the articles have on peoples lives. Thanks sister.
Thanks for the feedback! It matters to me.And your artcicle concept is too good.
Your idea is good but I guess the Read.cash new rules are more effective as soon as they are activated. Your idea can be a temporary solution until that happens. That's just my openion.
Brother All of this user @Anuragjr articles are plagiarized I checked on online plagiarism detector.
It's too bad for the guy to work that way, after all he is a student I think. He shouldn't be a lazy dude at that young age. Thanks sister.
I think you are right. I have previously suggested a maximum of 2 articles per member and day. But @Telesfor and read.cash are right. There is no way to efficiently stop them from using many accounts; there is no technical solution that can stop that efficiently. There are ways to do it partly, but not to stop the determined ones, and they are the ones most urgent to stop. So I don't think that is a viable way. I think you seem to be principled in this, @Olad, are you interested in becoming a co-moderator in one or more of my communities. If so, read my latest post https://read.cash/@Mictorrani/communities-announcement-invitation-b1c915c4
You are absolutely right. I have written article today on it and propose Trust Scoring base system..That will not only remove spammer but also project will be sustainable for long terms. In current system, as soon as user joined gets noticed about some random not worthy quality content and still getting paid, so gets prompt to do same for the sake of earning points. Hence, its become habitual later as article still getting some cents even though it may be spam, copyright violation or any other reason. Tell me. I noticed since last night someone posted 26 articles. This person doesn't comment or respond. Before the account had not one single post You can flag/report such a person too or?
You can flag of course. Even so, not responding doesn't mean the person is commiting plagiarism (he/she could have all of that content written beforehand on other platforms, and published it in a single day here). Although he/she copy pasted it from somewhere obviously.
As I understood it's not allowed to copy-paste your own posts from elsewhere. It was the first thing they told me. I did notice some people do it (I read their posts elsewhere). Posting every few minutes is seen as spamming too on most platforms. I am not saying it's plagiarism but I.do wonder why one only posts and doesn't engage/answer or write a descent comment instead of "please, follow me". Thank you for answering. 👍🏻
I manage a lot of communities and sometimes accidentally accept articles that do not fit. I also cannot check for plagiarism, as I don't have the time of the day to curate in this detail. What I would like would be to have more moderators in my communities, who can help sorting it through. (Maybe moderators actively asking for moderator permission instead of me inviting them) and also some kind of whitelisting would be nice, where I can add someone to the listing, who don't want to be a mod but periodically submits quality articles to my community. The more dynamic and frictionless it gets, the more we can curate.
I sincerely appreciate your comment/suggestions. I would like to function in moderating capacity in any of your communities as soon as it is opened. I appreciate your upvoting as well. Thanks.
Almost no mod would have the time to check for plagiarism (is something that must be done automatically). Having too little moderators in a community will mean a lower possibility for an unrelated article to slip in, but also will mean a less active community over time -turning to red- (with long moderation queue to check). On the other hand, having too many moderators, could mean any article gets approved.
We have a tool that does this, we'll be giving moderators an option to see its results.
That's great! Automated tools rocks (and do our life simpler) 🥳
It's already possible to invite more moderators, however it's not yet possible to coordinate actions between moderators (some external tool, like Telegram or WhatsApp should be used for that for now). And we do have a tool to check for plagiarism and we'll give moderators access to it.
You do have a tool to check for plagiarism? I am not aware of this or are speaking in respect of your community
We have an internal tool. It was actually used [previously on the whole site](https://read.cash/@Read.Cash/copy-paste-protection-c4bd5de3), but it got us into a lot of fights, because it was sometimes giving false positives, so [we turned it off](https://read.cash/@Read.Cash/disabling-the-syndicated-or-non-oc-tag-cd7c09c9). We will give this tool to moderators so that they can see the results and think whether this submission is acceptable.
How do i get the tool for my community
You need to wait. It will be available for everyone some time soon. It's not available for anyone yet.
Alright thanks
I support your motion OLAD, this is getting out of hand. Readcash should make hay before the platform is transform into what we don't want.
Readcash should make hay with there plans. That's the only solution to this.
Great observation Olad, Readcash should hurry in there plans so that things could get normal.
Thanks for your feedback. Something good needs to be done to rectify all those trashes. Thanks.
You said it soo well..people are reckless for the points writing anything
Articles written must make impact in peoples lives. We should always try to add values anywhere we are. Thanks.
Limiting the numbers of articles per day per account will not solve the problem. Spammers will come up with new solutions around it. Plus real bloggers wont be thrilled, meaning you are ultimately doing more harm than good by stablishing such limitation. The best possibility to stop the spam is making nearly impossible to earn from $ from spamming, therefore spammers will go someplace else.
You have a valid point here my friend. Knowing these copy cats isn't difficult at all, they look for anywhere to dump their articles without checking if it's fitting for that community. I rejected two articles today on my community knowing fully well that the person submitting it doesn't know what he is doing. How can someone submit a crypto currency based article on a marriage and relationship community, isn't that insane? Thankfully, read.cash is putting up a system that would allow only article published through a community on the platform. By then those who can not write will eventually fade away
Any idea to improve read.cash is important, but if you do this limitation, spammers will create new accounts and continue to spam. Spam is a big problem and not easy to get under control.
Thanks for your comment on this. I learned read.cash is working on spamming. Let's wait for the outcome. Nice day to you.
I agree, your ideas were great, read.cash should really moderate contents of each articles, might as well have automatized plagiarism test that will run before a certain article will be published
Thank you for this comment, I truly appreciate. We need to help read.cash get rid of spamming and plagiarism. Thanks.
Nice idea, the point is all moderators should be responsible as what you do to the community, seeing a plagiarized content should be reported immediately so that read.cash will be popular because of good works rather than being popular because of plagiarized contents.
Really, it is very good. The work and the articles of Ank Ayeshi have become very good. I will give more posts like this. I liked it a lot.
Yes you are right about this article sir. We must write or publish by our own written. And also we need to obey the rules of this platform. It is very simple but suddenly why those people did not understand it. I hope that all users of this platform got some lessons from your article like me. I experience what you have experience to other community they not read my article before rejecting. And I really felt sad about it.
We have to be happy for now as you can see with the ongoing restructuring operations of @read.cash the site is getting better in terms of combating spamming and plagiarism. Thanks for your comments.
Yes sir because I know the new rules have a good purpose for this platform
