Hope you all are doing well! Today, when I woke up in the morning I didn't have any topic in my mind to write on it so I thought to skip it. In the afternoon this idea came up in my mind to write about some sports.

In previous days our coaches selected the Pakistani team for comming T20 world cup. So, I thought to give my reviews about it.

T20 Squad and conflicts

The T20 world cup is scheduled to start on October 17 with the opening match of Oman and PNG (Papua New Guinea). All countries are fully enthusiastic and working on their teams to get the best out of their players. Like other countries, Pakistan has announced a 15-player squad for the world cup 2021 with Baber Azam to lead the Pakistani side. This selected squad will play the T20 series with New Zealand and England and then the T20 world cup 2021.

The process of team selection and announcement is usual but the public reaction is a bit different. Pakistanis do not seem to be that happy with the team management. As the names of players were revealed, social media users blow out and piles of tweets were made which were surely not supporting the decision. Even the head coach Misba-ul-Haq and captain Baber Azam are not happy with the selected squad. Baber Azam reveals his concerns related to the selected team saying that he wanted Faheem Ashraf and Fakhar Zaman to be the part of a team instead of Azam Khan and Sohaib Maqsood. But he was advised to focus on his game and performance instead of paying heed to in & out of players, said Baber Azam in an interview.

People are very aggressive regarding this. Before selecting the team, the team leader was not taken into consideration. On the other side, the traditional rival, the Indian team selection committee video called Virat Kohli who is in England to take his advice and ensure his satisfaction over the playing team being selected. The public is really offended by the decision and is really concerned about the team morale as the captain is not that happy with the decision.

Senior sports journalist, Abdul Majid Bhatti said in an interview that this team selection committee has not considered Misba-ul-Haq as he has reservations regarding some players and as a result, he resigned from his post. When M Wasim was asked about team selection he said that they only shared the selected squad with Ramiz Raja but his opinions were not taken for team selection. But it is clear from the squad that the team players reflect combinations that Ramiz Raja has discussed during his past interviews.

Many cricket experts were interviewed by different news channels and the majority seem to be disappointed by the selection committee head M Wasim. The CEO of PCB Mr. Wasim Khan told in the recent interview that players have had a meeting with Mr. Ramiz Raja and the outcomes of the discussion are positive. Ramiz Raja cleared doubts of players regarding selection.

In a recent interview, M Wasim, the chief selector of the Pakistan cricket team, has elaborated that all this news is just rumors. The team has been selected by consideration of Captain and Head coach. Misba-ul-Haqs’ resignation on the same day is a coincidence and it has nothing to do with team selection. Moreover, he stated that the selecting committee considered all stats and figures of players' recent performances, and the best players matching the requirement were chosen. Further, he told that it was hard to trim the squad from 22 players to 15 as due to covid-19 condition, they had been playing with the backup of each player.

It is being said by experts that the new combination of players is made according to the brand of cricket Pakistan is going to play. This squad will play two T20 series before T20 world and this time will prove the strength of the team. It is obvious that not everyone can be made happy and those who have the responsibility must have performed in the best way. M Wasim has more than 25 years of experience dealing with Pakistan's cricket matters. Commenting before the performance of the team is illogical. Maybe this team proves to be the best in the upcoming series.

SO, based on the performance of the T20 series with New Zealand and England, changes can be made in the final playing 11.
