College is better when you have friends. Friends that would stick around with you even after the class and outside the classroom. College may be a huge jungle for someone and being in a jungle is strange and no fun if you wouldn't be able to share experiences and learnings with anyone.

I am one blessed soul to have found comrades in college. I am shy and not friendly plus I display a resting bitch face that no matter how I try to look approachable, my face would display such face by default. My neighbor who happened to be my classmate since pre-school was my classmate and roommate back in college too. So, that was a plus. I didn't feel alone and lonely because I got her.

Time passed by when we met two equally amazing ladies. I can't remember how our friendship started. All I can remember was that we are buddies in eating and in planning our next cheap get-away. We used to share some laughs too over couples, our professors and our exam's scores because why not? All the ugly things shouldn't be cried about. They don't deserve a tear so we just laugh at them and do better next time.

This is not a bird. lol. This is Vanessa, my neighbor slash roommate slash classmate.

This is Aren. She is a baker and online seller. She is smart and clever too. She is a fresh grad of BSED.

This is Ruth- the prettiest. She is currently reviewing for her upcoming exam.

The friendship may have started here. We might have sat next to each other or grouped by our teacher together in an activity. But here, we own the classroom by ourselves. We love to spend time in an empty classroom, being together, taking group pictures or scrolling on our phones. I remember one time, when we rested our feet on another chair, a professor passed by and stopped telling us that "Legs are on the floor." We immediately sit properly and gushed over the strict professor.

We like to be together so when there are group activities, we would automatically choose each other. Well, there was no problem with being at ease with each other. The problem was that we couldn't get things done because we spend more time eating, laughing and gossiping.

Birthdays won't pass too without the presence of each other. This was taken during Vanessa' birthday.

And unplanned trips too. This was taken maybe five years ago. It was the day after Aren's birthday when we thought of trying out Aren's new camera. So, we hopped on to the nearest falls. The water was so clear and cold.

On our way home, we rode on a backhoe. Haha! During this time, we thought that we were cold kids with the backhoe as our background.

January 2020. The most recent time that we have seen each other. We had lunch together as a celebration of Vanessa and my graduation. We were already college graduates here but we look like Grade 7. lol

All three saved me from despair and from being alone and lonely while in college. Yes, you may have classmates but these three sticked around me even after class. We shared our problems, small wins in life and answers in mid-terms. lol.

Today, we barely talk to each other. We only send some random hello message. They say that during college you will meet a lot of temporary people. Maybe they are. Maybe they are temporary and may not be together forever with me but the three will always have a space in my heart and their names, faces and our memories were long etched in my heart.
