Kerra's morning was greeted with a message from her aunt asking her for money. Her aunt, Julie, added that she would pay when she will receive her bonus. When asked how much would she need, Julie asked if her niece has some money to spare and finally bursted the exact amount.
Kerra was shocked. It was just actually a small amount of money but for Kerra it is already big considering that she just works part time. She may be single but she got her parents to take care too.
She, then told her sister about her aunt's request. Her sister wasn't shocked anymore but she still is disappointed. She can't lend money to Julie anymore because the last time, Julie didn't pay it back. Kerra's sister advised her to do the same and not lend Julie some money because she believes that Julie wouldn't be able to pay back the money again.
Kerra's sister adviced her to keep the money and save it for future use. "It is not easy to accumulate money besides no one will help us when we will be in need. We got ourselves", her sister added.
But Kerra feels that her aunt is really in dire need of money. Julie, her aunt is a public school teacher with four kids. All four are studying- the eldest is in senior high school while the youngest is still in elementary. Julie's husband left her for another woman. Julie is left with debts and loans, raising her children alone and paying the loans that her husband made years ago.
On top of that, Julie's younger sister lives with her too. Her sister has no job and is taking care of her less than a year old baby because her husband left them for another woman too. Yes, Julie and Jessa are both married but their husbands left them for another woman, barely supporting the kids financially.
Julie is kind-hearted that even she has four kids to feed, she still welcomed her younger sister with her baby in her home. She got all the expenses they would need and when time comes that her salary won't suffice, she would run to loan sharks or or any family member. For today, she chose Kerra.
Oh! And one more. Julie has a younger brother too who happens to be a pedicab driver with six kids. When he would ran out of food too, he would run to Julie. He would asks kilos of rice, canned goods plus extra money. Amazing right? Julie is the savior. She is the savior that needs saving too.
Kerra knows all of these. Her aunts and uncle's situation is no unfamiliar to her. So, even when she needed money, she chose to lend her aunt first for the benefit of many.
What do you think? Did Kerra made the right decision?
Until then! Thank you for reading!

That is really a difficult situation. I think I would also lend some money but not to the point that I would always support her/them. After lending her some money, I would ask her if she can also look for other opportunities of having a second and even third source of income and the same goes for her siblings. It is not all the time we can have a relative whom we can run to. 😔
