Hammy in the house
March 13, 2022
Weeks ago, my sister came home for she wanted to participate again in this year's ranking. It would be impossible for her to just file a leave for a day or two to attend the orientation, demo, and interview so she decided to resign so she can focus on her application.
She took with her a pet given by her friend. A hamster. I didn't like the idea of having a pet as small as a hamster let alone a pet that looks like a rat. Omy! In fact, I haven't touch it since its first day at home.
My niece on the other hand, is delighted by the hamster's presence. She keeps on laughing while touching the hamster using a stick. She would sing and chant in front of the pet. But when her mom would ask her to hold it, she refuses and would run later on.
The hamster is like cinderella at home. My niece would just play and make fun of him. I'm afraid that the pet would die of stress. My sister regrets taking the hamster home. He would have live a normal and stress-free life far away from the hands of my niece.
My mom likes the hamster. She keeps on feeding him with fruits and bread. She finds it cute whenever the hamster would rub his hands so the bread crumbs would fall. One night, when she saw that the hamster curved like a big ball sleeping, she panicked. She thought that it was dead because of too much eating. She would also look after the hamster too because sometimes my niece would cover its home with cloth making it impossible for the hamster to breath.
My niece is happy whenever she sees that the hamster's life is miserable. She is like the stepmother of Cinderella. She laughs hard too whenever the hamster would have difficulty catching his breath.
My mom assume that if the hamster can talk it would definitely complain about my sister taking him home. It would be better if he was left at Cebu so he can have a peaceful life. Unlike at home, only my mom and sister loves him that much. I do not hate him, I just don't have that big heart for pets and I'm not there most of the time.
This is Hammy! My sister namede him Elvis because of the black spot on his head that looks like the hair of Elvis. It is not noticeable now as he have grown already.
My niece pretending to be happy with a new pet. Hehe
Afraid of the hamster. She calls it Monster! I hope one day, she would learn to love Hammy like how she cared for the cats that would visit our house and the dogs that she come across the roads. I think her treatment towards Hammy is temporary and she just does those because it is her way of playing with him.
Thank you for reading. Until then!
Ang cute ng hamsterπ pero mas cute and adorable po yong pamangkin niyo lalo na yung mata nya....
