Eight Tricks to Become More Productive Everyday
February 16, 2022
Good day read- friends! I failed to write yesterday and the other day because of a very little unacceptable reason. However, I have learned something that I am glad to share with you. These are the things that I bumped into while I was scrolling through my facebook feed. Upon checking it, I learned that these are the facts that I needed right now. It is timely and relevant at least to me. And I thought of sharing these to you too. These were taken from the facebook page, Positiveseed.
Ever felt like you have done a little in a day? Do you want to accomplish more but can't break the "old lazy cycle"? Fret not for I have here Eight Tricks To Become More Productive Everyday from Positiveseed:
1.Avoid multi-tasking and focus on one task at a time.
We are still in the notion of multi-tasking are for creative people. A lot of people are still stucked in the idea that if you do a lot of things together, more things will be done in time. We have not considered the fact that our creativity and focus will be at stake when we do different things altogether. Multi-tasking does not make us superheroes. Some of us may finish a lot of tasks but the quality is sacrifice. Whereas when we do things one by one, focusing on each task, there is a possibility that we will have better results.
2.Take time to plan and prioritize your tasks.
Failing to plan is planning to fail. Without concrete details or lists of the things that you have to do, you will not be able to accomplish all that you have to do. It is advisable to write the things that you have to do and place it somwhere accessible so you will always be reminded. There would be no excuse for you to forget to do a task.
3.Focus on minutes, not hours.
When we plan, it is necessary to be measurable. It is more achievable to use minutes than hours because there is tendency of slacking if we use longer periods of time. With shorter time, we will be more determined to complete a task and beat the clock.
4.Stop complaining about not having enough time.
We sure have enough time to complete our tasks. The problem is that we spend most of our time complaining, talking and doing more unnecessary tasks. Also because of procrastination, we tend to consume more time doing the same task because we don't do it instantly. We would only work when it is the deadliest deadline. From now on, work on your task early and don't be a deadliner.
5.Develop a routine to stay organize and stick to it.
It takes a routine to make a habit. When we are used to doing things repetitively, the tendency is that our system will get used to it and we will be able to adapt it as a habit. One of the many ways to establish a habit is by including a task as a routine. If it is part of our routine and habit already then we won't have the trouble of associating it with our behavior. So as early as now, develop a routine of staying organized and make sure to stick to it.
6.Don't wait for the perfect moment to start something. Instead, you should create it.
We would be waiting for forever if we will wait for the perfect moment. The perfect moment is now and we are the ones who are going to create it. We are going to create our destiny and make things work.
7.Keeping the alarm clock away from your bed decreases your chances of hitting snooze.
Some of us have set a lot of time frames for our clock to alarm. I bet there are always five-minutes intervals. The ending is that some of us would not be able to wake up again after five minutes and then we fail to meet the very reason why we set our alarm. Sometimes, it causes us to be absent at work or at school.
When our phones and alarm clock are only within our reach, it would be easy to turn it off even with your eyes closed. If we placed it somewhere far from our reach, we would be obliged to stand to turn it off. It would be a good way for us to go about our day and not stay longer in bed.
8.Leave some free time in your schedule to relax, do something you love, or enjoy doing.
We should maintain a work-life balance. In order for us to function well and be a healthy human being, it is but necessary to do things different from work. Things that would relax us, things that would get rid of our stress. In that way, we will be more determined to work and more inspired to work because at the wnd of the work-week, there is a hobby or an interest that is waiting for our attention. We should have something to pick up during the days when we are already burned out or stressed. So, find your passion.
There you go. I hope those things can help you even in a little way. Thanks for reading. Until next time.
