Signs that you have a bad teacher

Have you ever been stuck with a bad teacher?

Education today is one of the most important fields in the world and teachers are at the center. While active teachers can change the lives of their students by playing the role of role models, leaders, and mentors, many students are surrounded by passive and biased teachers. The worst part is that students rarely realize what they are missing.

Here are six signs that you have a bad teacher.

THEY'RE JUDGEMENTAL

They do not treat all students in the same way and do not choose which one to spend more time on. Everyone should be treated equally.

Like their teacher and their early class, they spend the last 15 minutes talking to each other. This is a common sign of a lazy teacher.

These teachers rushed to the end of their last time, thinking of their students and their minds, the class ends when the lessons, but there are always new opportunities to study.

In the last 15 minutes, your teacher could solve practice problems, explain new concepts, or simply answer class questions. There is always something to learn. Running time clock is never the answer.

THEY GRADE SLOWLY

Are your teachers late? Will it take a few weeks to get my tests and quiz back?

Bad teachers pull through the entire scoring process. It can be a hassle, but getting feedback is essential to you and your students.

Teachers assign homework, you expect them to return that homework to you. If not, how can you be sure you have learned something? If you had to ask the teacher repeatedly, the teachers did not postpone the end of the conversation.

YOUR CLASS UNDERPERFORMS

Is your whole class fighting?

Each course is difficult for different people. Some students excel in math, others in history, but now and then there is a class that bothers every student, but the problem is not the class, it's the teacher.

If your class average is lower than the rest of the school, your teacher is not doing his job. The low average reflects the teaching ability of the teachers.

In these impossible classes, teachers prepare assignments that students do not prepare. They fail because their instructors do not explain the information properly. The straightforward truth is that your teacher is not helping you get an education.

THEY PLAY FAVORITES

Is your teacher has a favorite student? Do they give special privileges to some students?

You will be surprised how often this happens. Many teachers build strong relationships with their students through clubs and sports, and they are accustomed to changing the dynamics of the classroom.

They will prefer familiar students to students they do not know. In the heart of a good teacher, every student weighs as much as his peers. Equality is a must in the classroom. There is nothing wrong with you and your classmates.

THEY ARE UNAVAILABLE

Does your instructor/teacher inspire students to ask for a help? Have you set aside time for individual meetings and office hours?

Effective teachers are available throughout the day. In other words, a good teacher doesn't give up when the bell rings.

They encourage students to address questions and concerns. Why? Because these teaching moments accelerate the learning process. Good teachers take every opportunity to educate when bad teachers are never available.

THEY OVERSIMPLIFY

A very high average is also not good. Some teachers want their students to succeed, but they are not challenging enough to learn. Instead, they simplify difficult concepts, avoid giving them extra work, and turn their curriculum into a simple or batting class.

Many students are drawn to these classes to increase their average grades and easy classes, but it feels more fun than difficult.

However, simple classes are more punished in the long run if they can get to the upper grades who haven't actually learned that it's not their fault. It is the teacher's responsibility to push and challenge the students. Otherwise, students will leave the classroom with a correct understanding of the subject, as they may not attend the class properly.

This is especially dangerous for lower level courses. These activities should teach you the basics that you will use later. If your teachers fail to communicate these ideas early, you will have to fight at a higher level, even if you are exceptionally smart, and you may fall behind because other students have better teachers.

Have you ever encountered a terrible teacher? How do you know what you would have done differently?

Being a good teacher is the motivation to move forward with more passion and purpose in life. However, the toxic teacher affects your grades, your mental health and your future.

Tell me about your experiences below! Thank you for reading!

And this is what I don't want to be if I get the chance to be a teacher. I had one back in high school, she's just a student teacher that time but she already love playing favorites, gives low grades and acts up as if she's a regular. She's too annoying that our class decided to make her cry and walk out of the room lol. I don't even know whether she became a real teacher or not.

Worst is some teachers let you note something the whole period and sometimes two to three periods. Without them explaining, and next will be some long quiz. And then back to long note.

Undoubtedly, there are teachers just like what you have mentioned. It can be annoying, but that is the truth. Some even likes to make their students feel hard up to the point that they are almost making their students look like zombies due to endless activities and tough requirements.

There's a teacher that can make you sleepy because of their way of talking. Some teachers also are lazy in terms of teaching because in our country, if I'm not mistaken, teachers can earn their salary without teaching. I mean kumikita sila kahit nakatulala lang sila sa classroomπŸ˜†
