In February this year, I shared with you that my husband and I celebrated our seventh anniversary and we stayed at a Private Villa in Panglao Livingroom & Kitchen. I even made an article Pineale's Bedroom and Bath + Pool Review.

Based on my article table, this series was abruptly halted as we have to travel to Oslob, this was in March as you can see, I still have a lot of backlogs and I am making up to all of these topics.

Today, let's go back the memory lane and let's check Panglao's Common Crew Coffee Roasters & Brewers.

From our Private Room Villa at Pineale Resort and Spa, we headed for lunch at McDonald's then we decided to check out a coffee shop that I found on Facebook. I usually take note of cafes I found online on my Google Keep's "To checklist".

Common Crew was just nearby, according to the map, it's just five minutes away so we went and parked at their spacious parking space. This cafe sits alone in this street, I wonder if there were other cafes nearby but I guess they are just the only ones along here.

I surely love this kind of architecture - industrial style. That means fast installation, low-maintenance components, and flexible spaces. It is obvious from the outside, the walls are just a concrete finish, with no paints involved! It somehow displays a minimalist vibe.

A big bike stands outside of the cafe, not sure if that's still a working motorcycle but they got it displayed for some reasons.

On an island like Panglao, I wondered at one point if this could be sustainable. There were only two other customers around but I changed my reckoning because as soon as we were waiting for our orders, other customers started coming in, most of their customers were actually foreigners! The crew was also very friendly and they usually start a conversation by asking us where we are from and so on.

But this is not the usual coffee shop that I knew of. They offer several other services. But one thing to note is that they have their own roastery in partnership with multi-awarded Champion Roaster and 2-time back to back Philippine National Barista Champion Sly Samonte, who is also the Kape Director and Resident Coffee Roaster of LICK El Nido and an advocate for Philippine Coffee, the information is available in their website. But the roastery is just located beside the shop. It is quite obvious as it is near the entrance gate. They are promoting local beans sourced within the country! They market their passion for good coffee and so support Filipino coffee farmers and highlight Philippine specialty coffee beans grown and harvested around the country.

Although I love coffee, I can only take one cup a day, or else, I'll experience palpitations! So, going here, I made sure I didn't have coffee that morning. They got a light bulb curtain too and this is very common in cafes and restaurants, it adds beauty aesthetically to the location.

They offer co-working spaces too. Last December when the typhoon hit Bohol, it was so hard to find a place where there was good internet access. I was also looking for a coworking space for my husband and considered here but it was too far from where we were staying.

Their remote working space covers the individual with unlimited brewed coffee, ample charging stations, ergonomic work chairs, and of course reliable internet connection. However, they don't have air conditioning here however, while we were there for coffee, the space was not hot, they got stand fans too! But they are only available for coworking between 10 AM to 6 PM and they are closed on Mondays.

Alfresco dining outside the cafe with a very nice setup, making use of cut tree barks!

I surely adore the mirror they have here plus they upcycled the transparent light bulbs for their indoor plants! Behind this was their comfort room which also had the same interior design!

My husband and I found out the owners are also into photography and in fact offer services like travel/trips, fashion, food, weddings, maternity, birthday, family, and solo portraits. They even do digital illustration, character design, watercolor, calligraphy, and mural painting. They sure are very talented individuals!

We are not coffee experts and usually, whenever I visit a coffee shop, I'd ask for their recommendation. According to the barista, we must try their best seller which is Spanish Latte and Salted Caramel, I asked for the iced one.

The latte was indeed good! And it has the right sweetness too! I like that they use metal straws. We just enjoyed our coffee while more and more customers came in. There were many foreigners who were working there remotely, they occupy the second floor which was exclusive for those who pays for the coworking space.

Here are some of the photos taken at the cafe:

By the way, there are pet animals in the cafe too! A rabbit and a dog! The dog is named Memoy and he's living in that blue dog house. I guess he was sleeping when we visited the cafe, also my baby was sleeping the entire time too! He woke up when we were about to go to our next destination.

Outdoor seating at the Common Crew Coffee Roasters & Brewers. They got a really relaxing space and it's just nice that they use natural air for ventilation although it would also be nice if they'd set a space with air conditioning too. Those who'd like to smoke can stay in their smoking area in the alfresco space.

Also, they got a hammock at the end and their house rabbit pet's cage is at the back of the hammock.

I highly recommend this cafe, they have a good location and really friendly staff too! Panglao peeps, you must check this out!
