Arcanys CEOs Treat to a Hotpot! On our second full day in Singapore, one of the highlights was a treat from the company's CEOs. This was always included in the itinerary ever since. I remember they treated us to a hotpot too when we were in Taiwan, a buffet one. I heard from those who joined last 2020's trip to Malaysia that they were also treated to a hotpot and now that we were in Singapore, they requested one which doesn't involve a hotpot but then, it was hard to find a place that can accommodate at least 100 people altogether except for a hotpot place in Bugis area. Thus, a hotpot night indeed! We all felt special thinking about it, imagine these bosses spending their resources for the abroad trip and then they're setting a dinner treat again! It is just amazing to know that they are very concerned about their employees. By the way, they are still bachelors, Fred and Alan. Both of them are from Switzerland. After a lot of looking care of the two employees who came along on the trip just to manage the needs of the entire group, they found Haidilao HotPot at Bugis+ mall.
I will not be dealing with how the whole experience was but I must tell you that of all the hotpot places that I had been to, this was the best. I can't get over how good their base soup was. If I compare it to our Taiwan experience, although that one was a buffet, I could literally say that Haidilao was way way better in terms of service, taste, and experience! The CEOs' reason for treating us is always to see everyone in one place, to be able to meet the significant plus ones, most of the time are the families of their employees and to have a quick chat.
The only thing was that they don't have a long table to accommodate all of us, we were separated per table and it was fine though. Our table was only good for five people, six including Matti who was on a high chair. Our budget was 190 SGD for the entire table. This was not a buffet though but it was more than enough. Words could not really explain how good this hotpot experience was but I must say thank you to our beloved sponsors for bringing us here!
I will share a review about the overall experience in my Hive account soon. After that sumptuous dinner hotpot, my husband and I had to walk around to burn what we had eaten. Of course, we had a little chitchat with the CEOs. Their company has this flat management setup. I am not sure if I am using the right term but my husband is asleep right now so I can't confirm what it means that the CEOs as much as possible don't want to have a hierarchy in their company, they want their employees to be able to talk to them directly, whether they have any complains suggestions, and feedback about the management and the working environment. So when talking to them, we felt like they are just on the same level, I am amazed at their humbleness and even more amazed that recently, Alan had shared with the employees how they had earned more this year due to inflation and they are giving back the earnings to the employees since their clients are rated in dollars. According to Alan, by February next year, they will be rolling out the bonus which is 50% of the employees' salaries. It's a blessing indeed that we didn't expect and it's so nice for them to give it back to their employees inside of keeping it to themselves. And additionally, if the same conversion to dollars remains by the first quarter of 2023, they said the same bonus will be expected in the second half of the year. I like that kind of management. Even in my partner's work, they discourage hierarchy set up because they are all doing the same kind of work. Sarap sana mag work jan kaso walang skills applicable sa mga positions lol!

hahaha they value fitness actually momsh marami silang perks just for their employees to invest on their health... kaya ayan naghire din ng fitness trainer..they even have free healthy meals prepandemic

How wonderful it is to have a job where you feel good and where the owners share with their employees, that they go to something more than just work in the company, it is good to share together, so they get to know each other better and it is as you say, everyone becomes family. For a while I had a boss that good, every month he took his employees to eat in a good place near our work, but little by little everything started to get complicated in my country and he stopped doing that, the changes were so serious that he had to close the place where we worked. I hope you can enjoy many more trips and meals as wonderful as that one, enjoying is part of life and we got it thanks to our efforts.
