It's a great day today! I am thinking of food so allow me to share with you a food park that we visited a few weeks ago here in Cebu. It's quite new though and we also had dinner there. Let me know what you think of food parks in the comment below!

Food parks are all over the Visayas if not the entire country. In Bohol and Cebu, a lot of towns and cities have them, it is not a new idea though but there's just something about it that this year, a lot of them started popping out.

If I think of food parks, the first in my mind is Sugbu Mercado. I believe that's the first food park in Cebu City and I like the idea that they are available only on the weekends, Friday until Sunday. I am not sure if that had changed but that's what I have known pre-pandemic.

But lately, mew food parks are open all week but people would still come and so today, is yet another food park feature. Let's stroll around Il Corso's Food Park. I mentioned this in my previous blog, Trespassing IL Corso Lifemalls.

Now, let's go and check out what we can find at The Food Yard at Il Corso:

Aside from the fresh breeze and the sea view, Cebuanos have a reason to visit Il Corso. There are two food parks available in the vicinity. One is the Food Yard North and Food Yard South. The photo above is the North one, this was the view on the way from the mall. I really like the building at the distance that's still being constructed right now. I heard this is called NUSTAR Resort and Casino, boy, there are a lot of things to see in Cebu City soon!

My husband parked the car in the South area but we walked towards the North. I really thought it was a bad idea walking to the north but I am glad we did because we had seen a lot of things as well in the mall.

Also, the Il Corso area has been a venue of the Cebu Drag Race and recently, a GTR sports car went straight to the sea, it was all over the news.

The one above is the end of the food park. There were tables and chairs in the middle of the road giving those who would be passing by a small area to walk, it was enough for two persons to walk side by side though.

Let's start featuring these food trucks and stalls! Where should I begin?

My Joy offers Tacos, salads, halo-halo, and some bowl meals. It has vibrant colors and really cutesy-themed stall! Colors are important in making a stall, do you agree?

Here's the BigDaddy food truck! They offer burgers, rice bowls, and chicken wings! I actually thought of ordering from here but they ran out of the kind of burger that I wanted.

Papa Abs Diner, their staff were very enthusiastic and were always calling out the passersby. I was actually looking at the Big Brain across because its name is just eyecatching.

From what they had written, Big Brain offers tuslob buwa, this Cebuano street food originally found in the Pasil neighborhood of Cebu City. Its main ingredients are pork liver and brain, which get sautéed with garlic, onions, shrimp paste, and chilis. Now, this has come to the food park too!

Then there's also Humba Heaven. Humba is a very popular dish as well in the country. It is a Filipino braised pork dish and is really a hit in the Visayas specifically in Cebu. Cebuanos really love humba.

But aside from Humba, they also offer seafood and they got a lot of customers, obviously because of humba.

I like how they made their stall quite appealing with that painted wall. I see they also offer breakfast silog meals. But seafood is also very inviting however, Matti won't eat that so we skipped Humba Heaven too!

Another food truck is called Peoples Eat and Go. They offer similar food to Big Daddy such as burgers, chicken wings, and rice meals. But I really wonder if the truck still runs. I bet it still works.

There's even a corner here that offers Japanese cuisine, Hakata! I wanted ramen but I was thinking of Matti. So we also skipped that. I really like how they designed their area. It's like legit Japanese. There were customers too eating their ramen at that hour. It was like four in the afternoon and it was actually a little hot. I was even sweating while clicking the camera.

Opposite Hakata is Highlands Fresh which offers fresh fruits and vegetables produced locally from Busay. I was more interested in their fruits though so I went to the stall but was more curious as they were selling some smoothies!

So we ended up getting one which was their Mango Banana with Spinach smoothie. It was worth Php 160, they only got one size, it was a huge one though so I shared it with the husband and the baby. It was actually good! It didn't even have any sweeteners added.

There's also another one that offers shakes but there were too many customers at that time so we skipped it. It looks like this stall has great food because there were many customers around but I can't wait that long. It's almost five and we have to still wait for the orders to be ready so we ended up looking for another stall instead.

And then after another round, I asked the husband if he had already decided where to dine in but he asked me the same question so I ended up picking Lamesa instead because there were no customers around and they have nachos and burgers!

So we ordered their smoked pulled pork burger which came with french fries. Also, we ordered fish and fries for Matti and my husband asked for some nuggets, I didn't know why he ordered nuggets though because I told him he should get the chicken wings but he ended up with nuggets. We had fries overload! We brought the rest to go instead.

Thanks for reading! Have you been to food parks too? What can you say about the available foods offered?
