Perseverance
Perseverance is key to achieving great things.
What does it mean to persevere?
Different people will give different meanings but it will all end up in one sentence, it means not to give up or give in no matter the circumstance. To persevere means to keep on going, to continue, to keep on striving no matter what. It is that dedication you have when you're focused and determined to achieve a certain task come what may.
Perseverance is needed on the journey to success because you cannot get there if you don't have it. It is like planning for a long distance journey without thinking of fueling your car. You will just get stuck in the middle of the road because your car needs fuel to keep on going. Without fuel your car can't go far on that journey.
Perseverance has it's limits
Just like anything in life perseverance has it's limit. I am sure we were taught limits in mathematics in school but I'm not talking about that one. What I mean by limit is, how far you are willing to go to achieve your goal. How much pain and suffering can you subject yourself and body to without giving in?
We all have our limits and the extent to which we can go to achieve anything we want but the question is, how bad do you want it. Ask yourself if you really want it that bad. It is all about your desire to achieve success and your tastes for greatness. If you don't have the right motivation or drive you can't persevere. Something must be pushing you. Whether it is love, family, friends, hunger and even fear. We all have something or someone that is giving us that necessary push. Our fuel.
Having the right people in your life
It's like when you want to start a manual car. You call a few people to push your car for you until it starts then you can move on your own. Those people gave you the push to keep on going. This is why it is good to have good people in our life. No man is an island so therefore we need to have social relationships with the right people who can add to our life.
The kind of people we have in our life goes a long way in determining how far we will go in life. If you have the wrong set of people in your life chances are you probably will not be making it anytime soon. At least not until you get rid of them. Having the people with the right mindset in your life will fast track your progress in life in ways that you can only imagine. You will be surprised by how far some of your friends are willing to go for you. It's all about having the right set of people around you. Some might argue but the environment has a strong effect on the kind of person you become.

Learn to persevere nothing comes easy in life.
In one of my favorite lines in Polo. G's song titled “through da storm,” said, Everybody goes through something, it's about perseverance. Perseverance is what differentiates the achievers and the ones that gave up.
