Rating my past boarding houses.
Hello beautiful people!
I hope you all are doing fine amidst of the shortcomings and uncertainties we may feel day by day. Always remember that a positive life is a happy life. β¨
In almost three years of my stay here in Cebu, I experienced staying in different boarding houses, with different experiences. And I will be rating each of them, depending on the comfort I felt while staying on the said boarding house.
Sitio Baca Boarding House (First Boarding House)
It was the first boarding house I stayed in. It's just a walk away to my work office which kind of gave me a reason to save for transportation that time. Location twice, I find it good there. There's a lot of carenderia around, malls, remittance center, banks. The place is accessible to all. Which supposed to be good. But what's not good in the place is that, the water interruption. Everyday, the water will stop at around 8 PM and we have to fetch water downstairs which is kinda tiring. No personal cr, and no sink, and we can't even cook. That I decided to transfer to a new house with a friend. I'll rate the boarding house 5/10.
Banilad Boarding House (Second Boarding House)
Just like the first one, it is almost the same with this. Accessible with everything around. This one seems to be upgraded as the water interruption was not that often. However, the room is too small as well the bed and there 's only a very small window that the air seemed to cannot enter the house. Cannot cook as well and no personal cr and sink. I'll the house with 6/10.
Camputhaw Boarding House (Third Boarding House)
This one feels to be the best among all of the boarding houses I mentioned here. There's actually no personal cr and sink, but it seems like there is since it is only us and another renter who's not home always who lives the house. There's actually two common cr which is super clean, a large sink, and a big sala. I was comfortable on this house as the landlady was very kind to us as well. Not until, we decided to move out and we asked for our electric bill and we were given with about almost 2000 pesos for just 14 days. Like, we were scammed? This boarding will be 4/10 for me.
Bacayan Boarding House (Fourth and Present Boarding House)
I'll rate this place right away with 10/10. The place is accessible to all, one ride to our office, our landlady si very kind to us, has our own cr and sink, two rooms and a small sala. This place is really like a home. We're already one year on this place and I really have no plan in transferring anymore as I really find comfort on this place. The rent is higher than the usual boarding house I've stayed but the comfort it gave is worth it.
They said that you do not need to invest to a place that you are just renting as it will only cost you money, no need to buy new things, as for sure you'll transfer in a new home and it will be a waste of money. But I think differently. When living in a place, you do not need to invest that much. You just need to add a little spice on the place for it to really feel like home. You do not need to buy a lot. Just a little touch of home will do. For me sometimes, it is not the cost that matters as long as you have the funds, but the comfort it will give you.
That's all for today beautiful people. If you have any thoughts about this, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. Let's interact. Stay safe always! Xoxo β¨βΊοΈ
