How old are you now?

Hello beautiful people!

I hope you all are doing fine amidst of the shortcomings and uncertainties we may feel day by day. Always remember that a positive life is a happy life. ✨

90's babies are not getting any younger this year. Those born in exactly 1990 will turn 32 years old this year. But you know, it is nothing to be ashamed of. Rather, we need to be proud for we have come this far. Right?

Before, I used to hide my real age thinking that getting older and older is not a good thing. But as time goes by, I learned that we are really not getting any younger. I mean, as long as we are still living, a year will continue to add in our age. And the more we get older, the more we can see the real definition of life. The more we can see how really life works. The more we can improve our perspective in life.

But let's not talk about how serious life is. Sometimes, we need to take life lightly. Like talk about fun things. Talk about memories. Talk about our childhood.

Now, may I ask how old are you now?

As what you can see on the attached photo above, it is a picture I got from Sugbo.Ph official facebook page. On that photo, it is asking "Unsa naka katiguwang karon?" That in English, "How old are you now?"

You can see there a cassette tape, a phone, a family in front of a computer, and some emojis.

Let's start with the cassette tape.

The Cassette Tape, or Compact Cassette, was first developed by the Philips company in 1962 in Belgium. Philips released the invention to Europe at the Berlin Radio Show on August 30, 1963; the invention was released in the United States in November of next year. Up until then, listening to music was largely vinyl based and not exactly on-the-go friendly. The cassette tape made it easy and convenient to take your favorite music with you.

Before my mom and dad used to have cassette tapes that they always played on their cassette player. That exactly every Sunday. But when the cassette tape will not work anymore, we will ask for it from them and we'll play it with out friends way back. You know, we are removing the plastic like thread inside the cassette and put it in the ground and see who ever has the longest tape on that cassette. We even use it to tie our balloons too and just do anything we can think that it can be use for. And with just playing with it, we find joy already.

I am not sure if people are still using cassette tapes this days. But in my experience and what I can see, BTS - the SoKor Boyband, still releases cassette tapes and vinyl everytime they released new songs.

And have you seen that famous old phone? That supposed to be a folding phone with a tie so that we can wear it in our neck. This toy phone became so famous because of its sound, "Ay yay yay, I'm a little butterfly." Everytime I hear that sound from someone's toy phone, I always go near them to borrow it. And when my mom has enough money, I ask her to buy me one. And it feels so good to have this toy with friends. Like we are acting to be calling each other even though we are just beside each other.

The fun and the memory it brought though!

There's still a lot of things here and there that can determine how really old we are. Movies, tv commercial, and all other things. But again, let's not worry about our age. It is just a number. Let's appreciate instead how we have come this far and that we already have a lot of experiences in life.

To more years to all of us! πŸ₯‚

That's all for today beautiful people. If you have any thoughts about this, feel free to leave it in the comment section below. Let's interact. Stay safe always! Xoxo ✨☺️
