Friday Readings With Music
As I was reading some random posts on Twitter a while ago, I came across lots of quotes and phrases that anyone could relate to. I took a screenshot of some of it, because I feel like I'm the one who's being told about those things. That's when I thought of creating a post about it here.
Follow me on:
Are you on the brink of questioning why you can't see any progress towards becoming a better version of yourself? You're not alone. But don't worry, because I'll provide some pieces of advice that could somehow help you feel your worth.
"Look at you comforting others with the words you wish to hear."
It's common for us to give pieces of advice to someone else, especially those who are close to us, about the things they are going through. Sometimes, the words and phrases we say are those that we want to hear from others or from someone close to our hearts.
It is both happy and sad. Happy, because you'll help them feel better. Sad, because no one seemed to notice that you were going through something. But anyway, we don’t realize that we are actually saying the same thing to ourselves. We are giving advice to ourselves, but we are not aware that we are doing it.
"It takes a lot of courage to leave someone who you thought would be your future."
Sometimes, destiny lets you meet someone who makes you feel special and is really sweet to you. Sometimes, their actions seemed to have meanings too. But in reality, it isn't what you really thought. What is more painful is when you are already falling in love with that person. You can't admit it because you don't have the courage to confess. It's as if your tongue crawled the moment you wanted to say something. I've been there, and I know that feeling, and that's terrible. But anyway, choose yourself and let go of those feelings already because, in the end, it will just cause more pain, especially when things don't work in your favor. To err is human, to forgive divine, and forgiving will probably make you feel better.
If the person you want to talk to doesn't respond, you have to know your worth. Not all the time, they are there to have a conversation with you. Not all the time, they will remain. Everything changes, and everyone does as well. Knowing how to let go of these things is self-care, and knowing how to care for yourself is one of the best ways to glow.
Your head may be full of unwanted thoughts, making you feel weak for certain reasons, even when you have enough energy. There may be some anxiety attacks affecting your mood and how you interact with others. Some people may not understand you, think of you, and still talk about you behind your back. Still, remember that the world is round. You'll get through it.
Just have faith and pray, for you are not alone. God will always be right here beside us, and He will always guide us. You have to remember that tomorrow will always be bright. You always have to remember that at the end of the tunnel, there is light. I know it's hard, but you have to keep your head up and keep your faith.
But indeed, no matter how many self-help quotes, advice, and books you read, they will all become useless without application.
