Kindness and Honesty still exist

In today's world, I've thought people forgot on how to be kind with to others. I thought that most of us turns to be selfish and always prioritize themselves. I thought that people became self-centered and always think on how to have money for themselves. I've been so judgemental to this part but we can't deny that some people is like this right? Power and money over character . But I'm so wrong to think about it, it's just a mere guess based on my thoughts and observations in my near surroundings but as I've watched the scenarios later, reality hits me that kindness and honesty do still exist. Maybe, some trying to cover it but it will still reveal if it is real and raw. People still have their own level of kindness to each other sometimes they might hide it because they don't want to be misjudged and label with negative thoughts so they just secretly being kind.

Earlier as I travelling back to the city, I tend to witnessed some people action. I'm kinda bored to touched and play on my phone and it is really my habit to watched over the window. When the bus stop because of the red light, I saw a young boy helping a old lady to cross on the road. I guess the old lady have poor eyesight because she closely looked if it is already green light and she only walked so slowly. I've tried to overlook to them when they already at the other side of the road and I then conclude that they are not related to each other. The young boy is just a stranger to the old lady but he still insist help her to cross the road. He even bow in front of the old lady . I really admire him because I know that it is only a small act but for the old lady, it's actually a big help to them. Kudos to the young boy who didn't hesitate to help others especially when he knows that he can really help even in a small way.

The other scenario is when I ride on the jeepney going to the city where I live. I think it is normal to drivers to be confused on the change (sukli) sometimes especially that the coins look like the same, they are all silver hahaha. But what is not normal is a passenger who give back the excess change. Admit it or not but once in our life, we witnessed how some people just let it pass without telling the drivers that their change is too much to the exact amount. Some even used the 1,2,3 or they will not pay for the fare fee. I'm not generalizing because I know that there's still a lot of honest people out there just like my co-passenger earlier. She talks to the driver and said that her change is excess of Php. 2. I don't know her but I'm so proud of her because imagine, it's only 2 pesos but instead of putting it on her pocket, she still choose to give it back to the driver. She also say " Manong your change is too much. Here the 2 pesos, you can still used it especially that the price of the gasoline is still increasing". That time all of the passenger looked at her, I've also heard someone who smirk and whispering " It's just 2 pesos, how can it help to him". I want to answered him " Still it's 2 pesos and she proves on how to be honest even in small amount". It's not about how big or small the amount is, but the thought is she still choose to be honest than to be tempted with that amount.

That scenarios prove to me that kindness and honesty really exist despite that the world is seems so suspicious and bland to us. There's a lot that had changed, a lot of abuses and crimes happened but still there is some people who will undoubtedly help you when you need. Moreover, there still who will never be afraid to be honest even she/he knows that he might be misjudged by other. In this world full of toxicity and negativity, let's not forget to spread the kindness and honesty because I believe that this two is very important to everyone. Everyone can brutally harm someone but still choose to be kind. Anyone can spill a lie but we should not cover them instead stand always for honest truth. There's no harm if we become good to everyone so be it.

As for me, I'm here at the city and trying to cope up with my schedule that I set aside when I'm in my vacation. I just realized now that there's a lot of it.
