Happy Sunday to you all, I'm sure you are all having a nice time.
Yeah, today is Sunday 🤩🤩 and I'm going to take you to church, last week I talk about " salvation is for everyone, but not all will be saved, and today I'm going to talk about profit in the world if God.
I'm going to give some points in the ways we can profit from the word of God:
1) All that God does is through his word: In the beginning, God created everything by the words of his mouth, both the living and non-living things. And ps 33 vs 9 makes us to understand the power of the word of God, through a spoken word everything came into pass, if God can do everything through his word that means his word can be beneficial to our life and this word can transform our life for better if and only if we know how to make use of this word. If we don't know how to make use of the word, there's is a tendency that this word won't be profitable to us.
2) there's is intrusive power in the word of God: this Bible we carry about, there's power in this word of God and there's nothing you're looking for in the world of God that is not written there, there's no problem that you're passing through that is not written in the world of God, and there's no solution that you're looking for, that you will not get in the word of God, so just tell me, my dear brothers and sisters, what is that thing you're passing through that is different from what is written in the world of God, that you being persecuted, that you being hated for no reason? Or is those who take a vow and did not fulfill it? Is it those who face problems for twelve good years? Is it those that are generous and are being persecuted because of their good work, just tell me anything you facing that is not written in the word of God?
Everything is completed in the word of God, it now depends on how you going to make use of this word of God. If you don't have the proper understanding of this word of God, you might not know how to make proper use of it. Isaiah 55:10-11, 2nd king 5:10-11 makes us to until that there power in the word of God
3) there are obstacles to the fruitfulness of the word of God: As we all understand that there's is power in the word of God, there's is also an obstacle that can hinder the word of God be fruitful in our life. Mattew 13:4-7 makes us understand more about those obstacles when farmers went out of his generosity to plant, some fell along the path, some fell on the Rocky sand, some fell in thorns, and some fell on the good soil.
The quality of our hearing will determine how the word of God will be in our heart, it will determine whether the word of God will be fruitful for you or vice versa if you don't have a good disposition toward the word of God, your growth mindset is hindered with little challenges.
4) Obedience makes the word of God fruitful and profitable in our life: we should obey everything in the word of God, we should not select and that is what many of us do, we now turn the word of God into a supermarket where we select what you want, some will say their God is not the God of the old testament but the New Testament, but the prophecy, the blessing in the old testament they claim it, which shouldn't be. Obedience will make us follow the word of God to the letter if we want the word of God to be profitable to us, Matthew 13 vs 23 tell us that the only way that the word of God will be fruitful in our life is by obeying the word of God. We should not be the hearer alone but the doer, so if we want the word of God to be profitable to us we should obey the letter.
I pray that God Should grant us the spirit to always obey his word, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
