We see a lot of these topics on read.cash and one thing that may be said of them is that most miss the mark entirely. This is because people have a tendency to base their definitions on their experiences rather than their true meanings.
Peace
There's no doubt about the fact that the concept of #peace is difficult to find in an increasingly hostile world in which we live. Everywhere we turn there is clamoring, rage, violence and the suppression of all that is good. It's difficult at best to maneuver in a world like this but it is entirely possible.
Some people turn to alcohol or drugs for their serenity, especially during these uncertain times. Others turn to loved ones to lean on and to feel secure. There's certainly nothing wrong with the latter, but it doesn't always last. Whatever the reason one seeks peace, this too can be a temporary state of mind.
Happiness
I've read so many articles on the topic of #happiness on read.cash it isn't funny. What most people forget is that happiness is temporary, fleeting, gone in a wisp of a memory.
One minute we are happy and the next we are on a different emotional trajectory. Emotions are temporary, whether they are positive or negative. We don't seem to grasp this. But think of it this way: if we were always happy (an impossibility) would it not be less valued? Of course it would! But we chase after happiness over and over and over again. Nobody wants to be sad.
Love
Aside from #crypto related topics, #love is one of more popular topics on this platform. Each day you can find several articles on this topic. Again, most miss the mark. Why? Because it is defined as an emotion rather than actions.
Love isn't sex, either. If you're looking for love in sexual activities, you're in league with the song lyrics and "looking for love in all the wrong places."
So what is love? It is doing - it is actions we take that benefit others and not ourselves. If we are doing it for our own self-aggrandizement, we are then guilty of the wrong motivations.
God's teachings
You knew I was going here, didn't you?
When it comes to peace, the Apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote:
"Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you" (2 Corinthians 13:11, NLT).
It's simple: know God, know peace. Now that does not mean we will always experience peace in this topsy turvy world, but the peace God speaks of is being assured of your salvation found only in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9).
And happiness? J.J. Packer, the renown Bible scholar and teacher said: "The way to be truly happy is to be truly human, and the way to be truly human is to be truly godly."
But let's allow God to speak to our hearts: "Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!" (Psalm 34:8, NLT).
Oh - did you see what God said through the psalmist? He said joy rather than happiness. He knew full well how temporary happiness was.
And then there is love. God defines precisely what real love is because God is love (1 John 4:16).
"If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away" (1 Corinthians 13:1-8, NIV).
A summo
Hopefully with this post you now possess the proper meaning and how to acquire peace, happiness and love. May God guide you going forward.
In God you can find peace, happiness and love. There is other place you can find it. Although there many things in the world that look like peace and there some people that will show you love in wish it is not even real and there are things that look like happiness but they are just thing that can vanish and disappear in a twinkling of an eye but the love of God abide forever and in his love there is peace, happiness, love.
