Don't Do It - Life Isn't Over!

I awoke very early this morning with something deeply and heavy on my heart and I wanted to share it. There is one or more of you out there who are considering ending your life. Don't do it!

The Christmas season can be depressing for many people. They have worries and problems that they believe cannot be solved. But this isn't true - it's a trick from the father of lies, Satan.

The suicide rate rises during times of economic depression and during times of economic boom, as people feel ‘left behind’ when every Juan, Bob, and Joanna seems to be racing ahead of them in life.

Life is precious

We are all God's valued creation, whether we believe it or not.

Just yesterday a friend of mine named Tammy shared a heartbreaking story with me about her son. He passed away at 3 months of age. The doc's do not know why yet.

There are no real words to console someone who has experienced a loss of a loved one. And we don't don't know why the Lord took that baby home with Him but we can know He did. He is a good God all the time.

Suicide is self-murder

There are a few religions out there that teach that a person who commits suicide cannot enter heaven. This is also untrue. But it does not give anyone a reason to take their own life.

Think of the people who love you. And don't believe the lie that nobody does. That is also a lie. Think of their grief!

And whether you believe in God or not, in His infinite wisdom, He has a way of reaching the most hardened or despondent heart.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart"(Jeremiah 1:5, NIV).

Grief, sadness and economic woes appear during this celebratory season. They can all be overcome. ALL of them.

Help is available

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6, NIV).

Give Jesus a call. He is always available.

I think the point that always brings me back when I think of ending it all is other people that care about me... I don't want to hurt them...

Believing God in trial times will save us a lot from ending our life. Suicide is never an option to problems we face or encounter. I hope people make do with this advice.

As long as there is life, there's always hope. But I have a question, where do people who committed suicide go to after death?

We shouldn't give up in life easily, rather we should keep going and believing that someday victory will be ours, commiting suicide isn't the best option to do.

It's a long-term bad option to a short-term solution, Grace.
