We are currently experiencing a catastrophe we have never expected. People dying, killing and protesting for rights in the time of pandemic which causes the cases to increase. Day by day, hundreds, no, thousands of people from all around the world are getting infected and the risk increases resulting to expose the vulnerability of the people, getting scared by the phenomenon we are facing, it it not only our physical health that is risk but most especially our mental health.
The uncertainty of having to live the next day, the anxieties, worries, and depression comes up to you especially when you are a person in need of constant distractions to battle the things your mind does. According to a study, most of the people diagnosed with depression has been experiencing more frequent anxiety attacks compared to their life before the pandemic has happened. I, personally also worry from time to time if we are gonna able to be back on our "normal" before and things would go to being okay.
Because of this worries and attacks, I am in need of constant distractions and that is by reading books, surfing the net and even playing with our dog. I know it's hard to think positive in this time of uncertainty, but to practice optimism and peace of mind certainly helps to improve your mental health in this time of pandemic.
I agree to this.
