A Thing Called “unwinding” Led Me to Find Inner Peace for a While.
Life lately got hard for me as I experienced losing a loved one. In my recently published article Planning our First Travel for A While, Yet Our First Travel Without You, I mentioned that my grandmother had already left us and found her new home above. It was one of the heartbreaks I experienced in my life that I could say dealt me enormous damage. Thinking that would happen in my life at that moment never came into my mind even though her doctor had already given her the months she might live because we still believe she could survive her cancer. Unfortunately, the worst time in our lives came at an unexpected time.
This family trip was discussed and planned by the usual planners of the family, my aunts, and uncles. They have decided to have gone on vacation again after years we haven’t experienced to be with together again on vacation because their flight way home will nearly happen soon, and it’s been a while since we have seen each other’s faces after they have decided to part ways for their families. Having such a vacation trip was an undeniably great experience that I missed so much because, before the pandemic, when everything was still fine and better, we used to do such things and go wherever our family wanted to travel.
Before traveling to the place where some markable histories and trademarks are usually mentioned in the books. I have rarely seen how beautiful and eye-catching our road to Bataan was because I feel that every time we travel, I feel vomiting caused by the shaking of the vehicle. Thus, I could probably say that the view we have seen along our ride is amazingly eye-catching as we rode through the airport, with long sea-side views and delicate tree formations the place is being proud of. My ride experience to Bataan was not worth it because I barely slept until we arrived at the resort.
My experiences at the beautiful place Bataan are proud. Our 2-day stay at the resort was incontestably unforgettable. I spent the time I was able to get outside the resort and walk along the beach to get pictures for memories. I collected a bunch of shots with different angles and clothes that satisfied me with my trip to Bataan. One of the memorable moments I may share in this article is the boodle fight we did on our first night of stay in Bataan. We grilled six pieces of Tilapia, hotdogs, and pork and chicken barbecues. We also prepare the Filipino-special dipping that can’t be missing in Filipino tables, the tomato-mango-onion-salted egg combo dipping. Even though we ate late because of some troubles during the drilling of our roast foods, we still enjoyed our meal and got complete with the foods we prepared for the family. Aside from that, walking through the near-side beach and swimming on the salted-water beach are also unforgettable moments I could say to people along with the pictures we have earned how wistful our experiences in Bataan were.
Our saying-goodbye moment to the place gave me time to unwind from the recent events that happened in my life. From packing up our things to driving our way, the home was a fantastic feeling I can remember when I say ‘Bataan.’ Though we tripped together without our grandmother’s physical presence, we still able to reminisce her presence while enjoying the things we went there by holding her picture frame with her beautiful smile that we missed the most.
Although we couldn’t talk, hug, kiss, and have special moments with her anymore, she will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts and minds. For the person who’s reading this article: please enjoy every moment of every person you love you’re wanted to be with. We didn’t know; we couldn’t tell; that might be the last. Yet, let must remind them to keep safe and prioritize themselves over anything else for you to make more memories together.

Beautiful place! I have never been to Bataan. Hope to visit it soon. The last photo is dramatic and the memory of your grandmother adds more emotion to it.
