Aside from not receiving any tips from Rusty in the past 72 hours, I have noticed some changes or deviations in the platform. Rusty the bot takes an eternity to bless articles on the platform, Marc De Mesel hasn't tipped any article in about 72 hours and there are new high tippers in play. The last part is a welcomed act by older members of this awesome community as most of these other high tippers have been users on this platform for about a year.
How Is Marc?
Marc is a household name. The most popular guy on read.cash. He is popular for the huge donation to the platform (100% of the fund is Marc's Money) and also for his huge and envious direct tips on articles he finds interesting. The highest tipped article with $11,000 was his doing. These high tips don't come often, he frequently tips between $10 to $200 and sometimes $1000. Guess it depends on how interesting the article was to him. Thanks, Marc for your donations and tips, the users of this platform owes you a lot of gratitude (not like he is expecting any).
I have noticed that he has not tipped any article in the last 3 days, and the first thought that came to mind was;
"Hope Marc is doing okay?"
Then I had to visit his account to check, I was relieved to see that he was online some hours ago.
Perhaps he has been too busy to read and tip. Anyways, anyone in contact can check in on him. I hope be is doing fine.
Rusty the Bot is Probably on Vacation?
There have been delays from the rewarder bot in tipping articles.
Nothing gives as much joy to users as
"@TheRandomRewarder upvoted your post "Lovely updates on Noise" with $0.50 in BCH"
Especially when you get lots of them.
Well, except excitement for these:
" @MarcDeMesel upvoted your post "****" with $100 in BCH"
" @MarcDeMesel upvoted your post "****" with $1000 in BCH"
" @MarcDeMesel upvoted your post "****" with $10,000 in BCH"
The last one doesn't just give joy, it leaves the user in a euphoric state. That's like 10 years of my current monthly income and I couldn't help but envy the users for a moment, wishing I could get even a bit of it. Believe me, $10,000 can place me on a greater part, to uplift my family and those around me. But that shouldn't push one into badmouthing the good will of others.
Such is life, the users are either lucky or they deserved it and Marc has the means and he is a generous man. Keep up with the kindness. Good things come to good people.
Oh, Come off it!
Let's be guided.
After the huge tip on the article "No, I will not stop telling people "BCH is Bitcoin." by Marc, some users jealously left some negative reaction.
One of such:
And Marc even honoured him with a reply
Marc shouldn't have replied, and I bet some users hold the same thought. Marc is a king in here, he wasn't given the crown 👑 for nothing. A King doesn't have to reply to every comment from his subjects. I wonder why the user let jealousy get the better of him, for someone who has been receiving a share of Marc's donation for months. It's Marc's money and does whatever he wishes with it.
Back to the bot delay
No article published in the last 24 hours has been tipped by the rewarder, which is unusual. It often takes a few hours and within 24 hours for an article that will be tipped to be visited by Rusty. But that seems to have changed in recent days. Also, some users have complained I not receiving tips for days and others for weeks. One good thing that came out of this delay is that it made some users even more creative - some have written a eulogy for the bot:
I for one have not received a tip for a while, it's not the first, so I'm used to it. And time on this platform is not just about the earning, though it's mostly about the earning. We do hope for improvement as this may discourage a lot of users on the platform. However, Rusty remains the best bot in town and I will remain in town till the rainy day.
New High Tippers are in Town
If you checked the top posts in the last 3 days (arranged based on the earning), you would have noticed that the top tips didn't come from Marc nor TheRandomRewarder, It came from users of this community most of whom have been here for a year. And top on the list are
These users usually tip between $5 - $50. Amongst them, @Ellie have been doing much more, tipping a lot of users in the last 48 hours. Thanks, guys.
Other users like @lerkfrend @ulf @Telesfor @Eirolfeam2 @bbyblacksheep @kingofreview and many others have also been spreading the love by giving back to the community from the BCH they have earned. Kudos guys. Though I don't have much in my wallet, I will do the little I can.
Give Back to the Community
I read @Telesfor post on noise.cash
This is a call to give back to the community that you have been earning from for several months. Just like he started, hodling is greater, but we should try to spend some of it, spread a percent of it to reach others. Visit new users, read their articles and tip them to encourage them. Also, some older users are not doing so well, you can show them some love. This is the idea behind my Patronage initiative here on read.cash, though it will do with some improvement on the amount of tip I give.
All users who have earned a good amount of BCH on the platform has a responsibility - to give back to the community. We shouldn't leave it all to Marc, the bot, Ellie, and the few others.
Together we can make this platform great, contribute to the growth of BCH.
I am also hoping that TheRandomRewarder will be back! Ohh you received an upvote from him. I only received $0.32 yesterday, not bad. I am also thankful that I am one of the user supported by you through the Patronage😁
