Give Yourself an Advantage

Today marks exactly 144 days in 2022. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike also clocked 100 solid days.

How many days have you NOT used the internet, or visited social media or WhatsApp? How profitable have these days been for you? How profitable has your use of the internet been? For the students what have you achieved since the 100 days at home due to the ASUU strike? Have you used this free time to learn a skill that will give you an advantage going on?

Traveling by road is great... You'd eventually arrive at your destination. But using flight is more efficient because it's faster, safer, and less stressful.

That's the same way your journey to financial freedom is. The internet gives you speed because you have access to offer your value to more people than you could possibly imagine. That's why whatever you are doing or intend on doing, learning high-income skills will give you an added advantage (irrespective of your age or academic qualification).

For instance, a 10-year-old traveling by air will arrive before a 60-year-old traveling to the same destination by road or sea. Even if the 60-year-old took off before the 10-year-old. Learn high-income skills early.

Now imagine going to an airport without your flight ticket... You'd see the aircrafts, officials, and passengers there, yeah? But you won't be cleared into any of the planes. Why?

Because, although you're available at the airport, you're not equipped as a passenger. In the same way, being online 24/7 doesn't make you rich by default. It's the value you deliver via your skills that makes you rich.

I want to make money so I can provide a better life for my family and impact people around me positively.

You want to make money to live a lavish lifestyle, party, club, luxury, and so on.

Here's the truth: If you have a strong desire to make money more than I do, you will no matter your intention. My reason may seem fair but it takes more than a "want" to achieve real success.

If I want to make up to $1000 monthly selling shoes and bags online and I need about $100 to learn how to sell (among other things). I may just make excuses and do something else. But if you desire it. In a few months, you'll be smiling at the bank. And this is not just because you paid the price to learn. Your desire will make you disciplined enough to pay the price of the work involved consistently.
