I'm bold. I'm courageous. I'm proactive. I take the offensive. I take initiative.

This chapter of the series "An Enemy Called Average" is about taking the offensive. It gives us some very good insights about how we should approach life. It explains how you need to take the offensive and fight against negative circumstances in order to win in life.

"Never try to defend your present position and situation. Choose to be a person who is on the offensive, not the defensive." - John Mason

Being on the offensive is about taking control of life.

When you're on the offensive, you're in control. You're not just reacting to something, but actively choosing to make things happen.

It's about being prepared and having a plan for what comes next. Because no matter how much information you have at your disposal, if you don't know how to use it… well then what good is it?

Who needs the "take the offensive" approach to getting what they want?

Think about it. Why do so many people find themselves in a defensive attitude? Why is there such a trend toward avoidance, defensiveness, and playing it safe? Why do so many people find themselves unwilling to take risks and make changes in their lives?

I think that this comes down to one thing: fear. We all have fears at some level—fears of being judged or rejected, of failure, of loss, of not fitting in. And we all have fears about what will happen if those fears come true…but here's the thing: if you're living with those fears every day, then you're never going to get what you really want out of life.

So how can you start taking advantage of your own strength? How can you really take control over your own life?

  • Take charge of your life by being proactive.

  • You don’t need permission to succeed.

  • You’ll never regret putting yourself out there.

  • Don’t let others define you.

  • Make winning your priority.

  • Be consistent.

Winning at life is about taking control of your own destiny.

Life is a game. And the rules are simple: take the initiative and control of your own destiny

In other words, if you want something, go get it. You can't just sit back and look at it in all its glory—you have to take action to get there. If you want more money, then earn more money by working hard and getting your foot in the door of some opportunity that will give you the cash flow you need. If you want love, then go out there and find someone who will love you back. It's that simple!

If you want to win, then don't just sit back and wait for someone else to come along with an amazing offer or an amazing opportunity or an amazing idea - go out there and create your own opportunities! Don't let anyone tell you what's possible for YOU.

Winning at life is about realizing that you're the only one who can make you happy, and then doing what it takes to get there. It's about being willing to face your fears, even the ones that make you cringe—fears like rejection or failure—and leaping headfirst into the unknown.

It's about learning how to say "no" when you don't want to do something, but also learning how to say "yes" when it matters most. And it's about remembering that taking risks doesn't mean failing; it means learning something new and growing as a person as a result.

In Conclusion

The very first thing you must do in your quest for success is take the offensive and go on the attack . . . Now that's going to get some eye brows raised!

You see, the truth is, initiating an attack is all about having an active plan of action so that you can achieve your desired end result. That goes back to taking responsibility for yourself and your actions. Once you begin living that way, things like winning at life, a better relationship or any other desire will become more achievable than ever before possible!!

Nobody gets respect without first giving it to themselves and taking control of their destiny. I'm not saying be greedy or selfish here. I'm simply saying that if you want something, take the initiative and go get it!

Quit depending on others for everything in your life. Be self-reliant and always be learning new things. This will open up doors for you that were previously closed before! It's true! I know because it's happened to me over and over again throughout my life from early childhood until now. So my advice is just to get aggressive with it all! When you win at life, there is no lose!

It could have easily been about sports. Even the pix I used within the content is related to sports 😀

Life will so much be better for us if we stop going to people for help every time. No one helps without expecting something in return. Attending to your own needs or solving your own problem you own way will only build self-confidence, and also make you more disciplined to live a better life.

Rightly said. People find it hard to help others when there is nothing in it for them.

Which is not right. Helping others should come from the heart and not with personal interest attached to it.
