Flickering lights is a common scenario in horror films, and it usually occurs in a house or a hospital. If you enjoy scaring people, this can be a prank to scare them because they will automatically assume it was made by a ghost. Also, if you're planning to turn your house into a hunted theme for this Halloween, then don't forget to have flickering light bulb.
It was already the mindset of the most of us that flickering light means ghost. But remember not to conclude immediately that there are made by ghosts, since reasons can be poor electricity, defective bulb, wires or main switch. On the other hand, if these are not the cause then there's a big possibility that it was made by a ghost.
If we consider spiritual aspects, flickering lights indicate the presence of a ghost or angel in your surroundings. CCTV footage and people's personal experiences proved that this is true. If you have similar experiences, you can share it too.

Earlier my younger brother told me that our lightbulb in the CR always flicker at 2 or 3 am. He used to sleep late the reason why he said this. He always share to me his scary experiences, but just like me it became normal to us; yes, there are times that we feel scared but mostly it is normal to us. There's a lot of paranormal entities living in our house when we are just new here, so when sometimes we can feels something unusual, my always reaction was "okay they are here". (Lol!)
My younger brother also told me years ago that there is a scientific reason why spirits can flicker the lights. It doesn't mean they're flipping the switch on and off, but they do produce chemicals that cause a light to flicker when they pass by. Another reason is their telepathic ability, which help them to communicate with us. Since they are unable to communicate directly with us, they do other ways to make us feel their presence; we Filipinos commonly say "may nagpaparamdam."
I personally experienced flickering lights and this is how it happened.
My school during high school have two room at the back of the stage. One is for our SSC office, while the other one is abandoned; only broken chairs, tables and other broken materials. I was an officer at that time in our club, so everytime there was an event we are obliged to plan and help. Our club adviser told us to go in that abandoned room to get some materials that we can use for props.
We already know that this room is haunted because many students have reported that the lights flicker when they enter alone. My co-officers and I went there, and we were all silent while looking for materials to use, until one of the officers said, "Did you know that the light here flickers?" At that moment, the light began to flicker. And, of course, our usual response is to run as quickly as possible.
