Something I want to say about communities: I have this cooking recipe community and I made it long ago, because I thought it would be a good topic to curate and moderate. We have 200+ members and I believe it is one of the biggest communities. that is pretty cool, but... What is sad is, that there are suddenly so many other 'cooking recipe' communities. Some of them small, others with more than 100 users. The moderators, instead of joining my community as a moderator and helping me curate, create their own almost identical community and now we have people submitting their recipes in different groups. I am actually very annoyed by that fact. I understand, that there are good reasons to let people create different communities and compete with each other by quality of curation, but in this instance, there is no competition and no distinguishable changes at all. My community has no specific rules, that would make it sensible to create a new one, with almost the exact same name and same ruleset. What is the difference between General 'Cooking Recipes" and "Cooking Daily Recipes", you tell me. For me, this is not about gaining points from submissions, everyone is free to help me as a moderator and get the same share of points, if he or she won't accept off-topic articles and thus earn as much or even more points, as we would share points of an even bigger community, instead of competing over submissions, as if there is any reason to compete on this. You could have joined and helped me as a moderator and received all the points you wanted in a bigger community. Now users have to switch between two almost identical communities, because recipes are scattered around different communities. I would really ask @Read.Cash, also because of other reasons, to allow submissions into 2 or 3 communities. So I don't need to actively hunt for articles and cross post and also have the ability to submit articles, that fit in two seperate communities. I shared an informational article on Bitcoin and think it would fit very well in Bitcoin Cash general as it would fit in my special Bitcoin Cash Africa group. Many users won't get to see it, if I do not put it in the general Bitcoin Cash article, yet I don't want this article to be missing in the Bitcoin Cash Africa community. The idea of subcommunities like that doesn't work out this way. Any solution to this would be appreciated. Either a crosspost feature or simply submission to a limited set of maybe 2 or 3 communities (all reverting to the one article, not seperate tabs). You could also use topics to make people see what fitting community is there for a topic and also suggest, when someone makes an almost identical group, that they can instead ask to join the other community as a mod. It would help me with curation and would also give users a better listing and curation. Thank you

This things also happens with some more identical community like photography! There are two to three communities by this name,and I get confuse to submit!
There is a good reason for that. It should not happen, that someone is a moderator, gets all the users joined but then rejects and censors the articles from specific people. It is a way to get rid of communities, that do unreasonable censoring or otherwise bad curation. So the general idea is great, but it also means, that some people simply create new of the same communities, where it makes no sense at all. Sometimes I guess people don't even see the already established community and think they create a new one. I really would like these people to join me as moderator, instead of competing about the same topic and making the list smaller for everyone.
It's rises the same Community because of the feature comunity from the last update. For me as I experienced , even I created an article that is related to that Community and I made it just for this characteristics. Like about health or poems but still REJECT, without reason, sometimes reject because low quality , it's not good for the user that out an effort for that article and for the said Community. And it result for being rejected. That's why some of the user create their own Community depends on their articles because they are afraid of getting reject again for some choosy moderator.
Sorry to her this, yeah its true there are many similar group name in the communities. Even writer confused if which group or if they already submitted to that group name, cause group name are similar. Sometimes writers just passed it by because they are thinking they already submitted thier articles to that group. Hope your queries resolve to soon👍👍👍♥️♥️
Sometimes it takes hours to get approval by the moderators. For this reason, saving your post for 2-3 communities can be beneficial. I have another idea for communities. We may have bunch of communities for example Food related communities. When I choose this option, the post is asked to be shared by all the communities in the Food Related bunch. Publishers may unselect some communities or communities may reject as well.
It will be more convenient if the moderators will approved the articles as soon as possible.
It will work, if we have more moderators from around the world in the community. But they rather create their own community, instead of joining the established ones as curator. Also, I am very active and approve articles, especially cooking recipe articles always in no time.
This is true. One of my articles took almost 10 hrs before getting approved or worst it might get rejected. I'm hoping that submission to 2-3 communities would be possible.
I guess I have 3 cooking communities I've joined, and submit my article in that 3.

There is actually a work around to be able to post on different communities. When you are creating or editing or on an article, you really cannot submit it to multiple communities. @Koush hope this could help. 😊 messaged you on twitter. 😊
This is a valid point man. But didn’t read cash work on this issue when they had introduced featured communities? . Nit really sure but this issue causes confusion among many readers. Duplication is never good
Not only this. I have seen many more such communities. One has similarities with the other. Only more or less members. I don't understand why.
you really have a good point me as well got confused in different communities but with the same topic might as well limit the approval of communities and those who submit there own community might contribute as moderator.it is just my opinion sorry if it sounds irrational.
Yes, that's very bad. I see different communities almost the same and curating to the same niche.
Hello @Koush, please I want to appreciate the privilege given to me to moderate the read.cash community, it has really been a great experience so far. However, I want to inform you that I may not be able to come online to moderate the read.cash community as am currently having health issue. Am writing this on my sick bed right now, and have been trying moderating though being sick. I don't want the moderation in queue to be without attention.
