Maring: You're Bad
The wind was so strong, I feel terrified.
The rain was hefty, and made me feel sad.
Fear runs through my veins, and so I prayed hard.
Then there is power interruption. Phone's battery is almost empty -so bad.
Bagyong Maring really surprised the people in the bad way. It's impact has affected many people, properties, animals, and many more and it is so heartbreaking to see news from telvisions and posts from social media sites showcasing several individuals, properties, and animals that were devastated.
According to the news, Bagyong Maring has maximum sustained winds of one hundred kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to one hundred twenty-five kilometer per hour, and central pressure of nine hundred seventy-five hPa. It was seen to move West northwestward at 30 kilometers per hour. Lastly, the strong winds or higher extend outwards up to eight hundred from the center.

The good thing is that we, Filipinos, are resilient. We heal as one and rise up together. Regardless of how bad the others are, there are still some people with kind heart who share their blessing and extend their hands to help those in need.
I am smiling as I read posts from photos offering some help such as free load, rescue operations and the like. Sharing those photos is already a help so that those who badly needed it will be helped.
In our locality, specifically in our compound, no trees have fallen. But almost all of the leaves of the trees here especially the malunggay trees, have fallen. In tagalog, mukhang naging kalansay na ang mga puno. You will see branches with a few to no leaves.
To those who were affected with massive damage, I pray that you'll be able to recover soon. We are all mentally affected so let us first take care of ourselves, especially our mental health, and keep our sanity.
God is our strength when we are weak. He makes us stronger and never let us sink in the depth. He will help us rise up and together, we will be okay. Because you, me, and each Filipino are resilient and still get to smile since we have the heart of true happiness. Keep safe, guys.

Nations of Connections and Intersections
A wonderful day, my dearest friends. It is Monday and I can feel that busyness of people around me. That is not a question anymore, though, since this day has always been a busy day. Nations of Connections and Intersections. This is our topic for today.
Let us start with a little seed.
A little seed can grow into a tall, sturdy tree. Nations, even with a tiny spark in the hearts of people, can begin. This little spark are the people’s beliefs and feelings that will grow and become a light that shines all throughout the people. The national psyche serves as the light that is the soul of the nation. Like how a human psyche is the center of our thoughts and emotions, the national psyche is the totality of its citizens’ minds and values.
What about our national psyche?
Our national psyche is what urges us to unite. How a nation can stand together in times of conflict is a display of the psyche working its way to touch peoples’ hearts. Struggles, societal issues, even enjoyment and entertainment, can trigger the soul of a nation to spark. When we see fellow countrymen being oppressed, our national psyche directs us to fight against such unfair treatment. In every citizen of a nation, there is the belief that we are a united nation and therefore, we shall not let that a part of us is violated. It is our national psyche dispersing its light that we are as one and any threat to it is not allowed. Our unity developed through our collective beliefs is the soul that brings us into progress.
However, that spark of light is only the beginning and its formation shall continue as a process. In Homi Bhabha’s work, “Nation and Narration”, one aspect of nation is its common purpose. In the introduction of his work, a nation is a connection of individual meanings that come together to form as a being. These individual meanings stems with all the spiritual and emotional feelings. A nation is a web of meanings connected through shared beliefs, principles and values that intersects with a common purpose. The national psyche is formed by gradual connection of private interests that center towards a common purpose that directs how the national psyche manifests. The center of this psyche, the common purpose of every member of the nation, is formed continuously with time. These meanings are ideologies that are constantly defined and re-defined through shared experiences of the people.
Closing
Through time, the people share experience together that become their own stories and the nation’s sub-stories. A nation is developed through the different stories that form the society. These stories are entangled with another and through passage of time, they become history. Another aspect of a nation is its history. Understanding a nation is also understanding its history. What it is now is the result of its sub-stories that integrate into one. A nation is not only defined by the current political, spiritual and emotional ideologies but also the cultural systems and beliefs that preceded the present. The history of the nation reinforces its psyche. Past events and experiences strengthens the drive of the national psyche. The sentiments of the people of the nation because of its history keeps the light shining, fighting for freedom and peace that the people have always fought for.

A Challenge when Boredom Strikes
It is given that when boredom strikes, it gets lonely. You don't know what to do. Sometimes, even eating foods rich in carbohydrates won't give the energy to fight boredom.
Bored no more because I have prepared a challenge for everyone especially to those who feels bored right now. If you having a hard time looking for a topic for your next article, you may use this article as reference for your next post. These questions are randomly selected and if you dare to answer them, give your best!
**Strike out boredom by this question number 1: Do you like to doodle?**
Personally, I don't do doodle that much. When I was younger, I actually do it at the back of my notebooks or in any piece of paper. I do it at times where I feel bored especially when the topic is boring. Of course, I am still listening but this is my way to keep myself active. When I am at home, I also do some doodles. Forming different shapes and figures is fun to do. I put big eyes, small eyes, big nose, small nose, eight legs like an octopus, and many more that comes into my mind.
**Strike out boredom by this question number 2: Ever squirted orange juice in your eye?**
It seems like I haven't heard the word squirted yet but it seems like it means poured or "pinugsit." But to make sure, I googled it and I found out that it means forcing a liquid to flow out through an opening, which is narrow, in a quick stream. My answer then is yes, many times. It usually happens when I am peeling off an orange. What is even worst to that is when the juice from the peel itself goes to the eyes. The feeling is somewhat painful and it is very uncomfortable. But in case it happens to you, remember to rinse it off with water immediately, as in real quick.
**Strike out boredom by this question number 3: Do you play an instrument?**
We have a ukulele at home and this is the only instrument I know to play. During my first time using it, I thought it is just simple because chord c is pretty easy. Until I met B minor and more difficult chords. I want to learn playing the guitar too, but I do not have yet the budget to buy one. Maybe, I can buy one on next sale in Shopee with hopes that the little mr. Green with huge heart will often visit me and be kind to me as well. But, just in case you have any thought about guitars, what is the best brand I should go that is budget friendly?
**Strike out boredom by this question number 4: Do you keep a journal/diary?**
Honestly speaking, I don't keep a journal nor diary. But probably, this platform could serve as one for me. For the coming days, I might share personal experiences of the day and the like. By the way, we are once required to do it way back in high school. Our teacher in English required us to write a journal and diary every day. She checks it every week and it helped us to master writing paragraphs and to correct our grammar. I am not still perfect when it comes to it, but it is very enjoyable to write something you like about, right? Anyhow, do you like doing it or not? Share yours too!
**Strike out boredom by this question number 5: How many kisses on the lips have you given?**
I honestly don't know now how many kisses on the lips I have given, because until now I haven't kiss anyone yet on the lips except my family. I did not enter into a relationship yet, but maybe I can find someone one day, when the right one comes. Let's just be patient because patience is virtue.

Do Filipino movies contain predictable scenarios? Agree or disagree?
Sa usaping ito, hindi lamang natin pag-uusapan ang mga pelikulang Pilipino, Atin ding pag-usapan ang mga pelikulang nanggaling sa ibang bansa at kung paano nakakaapekto ang mga tauhan sa pelikula.
*Una nating bigyan ng pansin ang mga pelikulang may kakaibang paraan ng paglalarawan sa banghay ng pelikula, at akin na ring ilalarawan ang mga ito.*
`Unang Pelikula: Miss Granny`
**Ilarawan:** Ito’y tungkol sa isang matandang babae na nagkaroon ng pangalawang pagkakataon na maging bata muli pagkatapos niyang pumunta sa isang mahiwagang photo studio.
`Ikalawang Pelikula: Orphan`
**Ilarawan:** Tungkol ito sa pamilyang umampon ng isang bata na kalaunan ay napag- alamang isang matandang babae pala na mula sa mental na nagpapanggap bilang bata upang makapagbiktima ng pamilya.
`Ikatlong Pelikula: Fantasy Island`
**Ilarawan:** Ito ay tunkol naman kay Mr. Roarke na siyang tumutupad sa mga lihim na pangarap ng kaniyang mga masweswerteng panauhin sa isang marangya ngunit malayong tropikal na resort. Ngunit kapag ang kanilang mga pantasya ay naging bangungot, kailangan nilang malutas ang misteryo ng isla upang makatakas at ipaglaban ang kanilang buhay.
Dumako naman tayo sa mga usaping isyung panlipunan. Sa aking palagay, ang kadalasang isyung panlipunan ang tinatampok sa mga pelikula ay una, ang kahirapan, sumunod ang katiwalian sa gobyerno, at panghuli ang pangangaliwa sa asawa. Wala na bang iba? char.
Paano naman naaapektuhan ng tauhan at daloy at kabuuan ng pelikula? Para sa akin, naaapektuhan ng tauhan at daloy ng kwento ang kabuuan ng pelikula sa pamamagitan ng pagiging epektibo ng tauhan sa pagganap ng kaniyang karakter at ang banghay ng pelikula ay naisakwento ng maayos. Kung hindi naisagawa ng maayos ng tauhan ang kaniyang parte, malaki ang magiging epekto nito sa takbo ng pelikula. Kung kaya’t kailangang maisagawa ng sa ganoon ay maayos ang lahat para maging maganda rin ang kalalabasan nito.
Bukod dito, ang paraan kung saan masasabing epektibo naman ang tauhan ay kung nabibigyan niya ng buhay at hustisya ang tauhan sa kwento na kanyang ginagampanan at kapag nagagawa niya at naipapadama niya sa mga manonood ang emosyong nais nitong madama ng mga tagasubaybay. Ang isa pang paraan ay kapag nagagawa nitong maitatak sa isipan ng mga manood ang ilang linya mula sa pelikulang ginampanan niya sa pamamagitan ng mahusay na pag-arte at talaga namang nakakadala na mga eksena. Mahilig kasi ang mga Pinoy sa mga eksenang naghihiganti na ang bida. Mas nagiging epektibo pa ang tauhang ito kapag talaga namang nakakagigil na ang kaniyang eksena.
Bilang pangwakas sa ating sanaysay sa araw na ito, ang kailangang taglayin ng isang artista upang maging katanggap-tanggap siya/sila na gumanap sa pelikula ay ang sumusunod. Para sa akin, ang kailangang taglayin ng isang artista upang maging katanggap- tanggap siya na gumanap sa pelikula ay ang pagiging mahusay sa pag-arte at pagkakaroon ng wastong disiplina dahil kahit gaano pa kagaling ang isang artista kung hindi naman alam kung paano disiplinahin ang sarili, hindi siya magiging katanggap- tanggap na gumanap sa pelikula. Ang isa pang katangian na dapat taglayin ay marunong makinig.
Hindi lang sapat na marunong umarte, dapat marunong ding makinig sa payo ng iba lalo na sa mga beterano upang mas maging maganda ang pagganap niya sa karakter at upang mabigyan niya ito ng hustisya.

Life without fake friends is not common-agree or disagree?
We sometimes say that they are toxic, but admit it or not, they also give some advantages to us. They make us stronger and be the very best versions of ourselves. In a more creative manner, they motivates us to rise from the fall. But do not take it the other way around. I am not saying that you should find fake friends. What I am implying is to do better things out of it.
*During the past generations, what do you think fake friends do? Did they colonize countries? Did they forbid things? Probably, they did all that things. Then, here comes the rise of different issues. But the most common ones are social and political issues.*
Speaking of political issues, one of the issues in the El Filibusterismo is corruption, and up until now, especially in the present administration, there's a lot of rampant corruption going on.
*Just like in friendship, there are corrupt friends. They are the ones who seemed nice when he or she is in front of you, but little did you know, they are the worst people when they take their back against you. They are corrupt too in a sense that, they are the ones who don't have* ***ambag*** *yet they are also the ones who is* ***matakaw****.*
Anyhow, let's go back to what I am **chitchatting** with you a while ago. Just September last year, a fund amounting to 15B became nowhere to be found as if it is a balloon that abruptly popped out. I did not know until now where that deficiency went. Let us not turn our eyes blind with this one because that fund came from us.
To say that funds are going to the officials' pockets is very classic yet still rampant. Is it a sad truth that cannot be denied? That depends on your perspective. Nevertheless, those who were said to have done such an act still denied all those allegations. After all, who would want to admit his wrongdoings, especially in media?
This has been an issue since time immemorial, and I think some people just run for politics to have a share in the fund that will go into their pocket, if not steal money, since they know the laws and loopholes, manage funds, and get someone powerful to back them up.
The only solution for this problem is proper investigation and charge those people who will be found guilty. Those funds, 15B and now 67.3B, are no jokes. It could be used as funds for having mass testing before, providing PPE, and hazard pay for health workers. That's a lot of money, and this administration should stop defending those guilty politicians.
They should resign from their position, undergo a proper investigation, and pay for what they did. If they can't prove that those allegations are wrong, and all they can do is act like the victim, they should be punished. People should also start to vote wisely and choose the right people to lead the country. Our votes, our dignity, our future isn't just worth 500 or a few thousand and isn't for sale. We need a better government more than the money they are buying our votes for.
Our country is believed to be filled with corruption, and it's time to put an end to this. The 2022 election is coming near, and obviously, they will start saying empty promises again, fool people, cheat on the results, use violence and etc. Filipinos should critically think because our future depends on this and also the future of the next generation. ***Vote wisely, not blindly. We deserve better change.***
*Going back to friendship chuchuness, the next time you choose your friends, choose wisely. Piliin mo rin ang Pilipinas, I mean, piliin mo ang sa tingin mo ay makapagbibigay ng magandang impluwensiya sa iyo. Because that is life and life is like that, gets? char. Just put in mind to always choose what is best for us to avoid regrets.*
