He is not my ideal guy

Maybe all of us have this certain criterion or a type that we prefer. For instance, the ideal characteristics of a guy or girl that you want to be with or you are supposed to love with. I can't blame those girls who preferred a tall dark and handsome figure or a beautiful skinny sexy cutie with fair skin and long black hair for the boy's preference. We all do like a good-looking individual to be our pair in life. And dreaming of it is free as the air we breathe every day. Here I will share with you my personal experienced regarding this matter.

When I was in my teenage years, I don't look at how fair the skin of a guy is. I preferred moreno type of guys, clean humorous, and have a clear plan for the future. Not necessary that he was a degree holder or just a simple employee as long as he has a stable job to earn for his future family. I loved dreaming to be with this kind of guy, imagining a happy life with him. It makes me want to be able to use a different way of life after the fact that our family was just in the rural all the time and never get a chance to stay in the city. I want to experience city life with my dream guy lol.

Time flies fast, many suitors tried their luck in winning my heart. There is this one guy who I have a crush on him but unlike my ideal guy he has a fairer skin complexion than me, I wonder if he will have to notice me around those many girls who are flirting with him. I realize that I can't withstand those girls in terms of beauty especially since flirtations are out of my mind to win a guy's attention. I better back down than to lower my pride as a dalagang Pilipina yeah lol. Though that time the guy was in multiple relationships that depleted my admiration of him. To my surprise, he started to approach me, asking many things about me from my friends. That scene happened when we attended a wedding in their village, even my friends teased me to the guy, during the dance he chooses to dance with me and started telling his sweet nothings. Though I have a crush on him I declined the guy to become his girlfriend.

I entered into a few relationships too unfortunately all was just a part of my growing up, nothing is serious. I broke up when I find that no more sparks between us with the guy that I steady with. Until the day that I decided to stop going to an uncertain relation anymore. Once that I enter again into a relationship it should be the one already.

Then this guy came into my life unexpectedly. He is a cousin to my previous boyfriend, we knew each other for a long time but ever since he has never displayed any affection towards me before. He even teases me to his cousin who is vocal about his feeling to me. So it never comes to my mind that he has affection for me. Everything took off too fast and he became my fiancee. Though I'm wondering in myself how to get to that relationship in just a short period. One more thing, he is not my type nor my ideal guy. He is not tall, dark but not handsome lol. Destiny makes a big joke on me, I got almost all the opposite of my ideal man.

Now I am living with my not ideal guy, though we faced a lot of struggles, problems, sometimes misunderstanding. We eventually fight under some circumstances but at the end of the day, we settled down everything and be good again.
