A mothers' sacrifice

"If you really love me, bring me first your mother's heart before I accept your love." Said the maiden.

Hello awesome people of read cash? I am thinking of a topic to write about then suddenly I remember the story which I was heard a long time ago about a young man who courted a beautiful maiden in the village.

Maybe some of you heard the story already but I still decided to share it with those who do not know yet.

A long time ago in a beautiful village in the East there lived a couple with their only son that we named Darius. The couple loved their son and they give him everything he needs. They don't want him to get tired, they treat him like a gem and are forbidden to get dirty, tired, and work hard.

One day, young Darius saw the most beautiful maiden in their village. He was mesmerized by the beauty of the maiden by the name of Corazon. He saw a lot of men of all ages in front of Corazon's house, it was about dark and all those are holding their presents to Corazon and her family. Some have jewelry boxes with flowers, some held a cute puppy and different types of fruits in a basket. And the other had a gift wrap in big boxes.

Darius tried his luck entering the house but the men told him to be in line and wait for his turn. And since he was there already he wait patiently for his turn to speak to the maiden.

He quickly walks his way to the receiving area of the house when someone called his name and there he saw the beautiful Corazon sitting on a couch covered with soft and colorful fleece. Although disgust was on her face she still manage to smile towards Darius.

"Aahm, good evening Corazon." He greeted the maiden. But before he could speak for more Corazon raise her hand midway. He knew the maiden referred to what was his gift to her.

"I- I'm sorry I have nothing to offer you for now." Darius stammered. " But whatever your wish is my command. I will bring it to you tomorrow." He assured.

Corazon smiled foolishly and said.

"Are you sure you will give whatever I ask you?" She said.

"Yes, I am! Cross my heart, I will do everything you want." Darius replied.

Corazon smile and motions Darius to come closer to her and whisper her wish to his ear. The young man gets shocked by the maiden's wish. Until she leaves him and said goodbye.

Darius went home bothered by Corazon's request. He doesn't know what is right to do. He realized that he was already drawn to the beauty of the maiden despite their short moment of meeting and interactions. He wants her badly.

At home, his mother was busy preparing their dinner when he arrives. She approaches him with care and wipes his forehead with her trembling hand.

"Son, the dinner is ready, you have to eat now while the food is hot. I and your father will eat later after he arrives from fishing tonight." And she pulled a chair for Darius to sit.

After his dinner, Darius decided to tell his mother about Corazon's wish for him to do. His mother listens carefully and seriously.

"My dear, do you really love her?" Asks her mother.

"I do mother," Darius replied.

"If you think that her request worth your happiness then consider my blessing my Son. "Do it, but be sure that she will never deny you after all you did for her." Sigh her mother. She embraces him dearly before leaving for their bedroom.

Darius was left speechless and unable to figure out what to do. The voice of Corazon soared in his mind as if nagging him to do her request in exchange for her love.

He suddenly grabbed a sharp knife from the kitchen hanger, touch its edge, and smiled like a mad man.

A mother's sacrifice is unfathomable. Since we conceive in her womb she risks her life since then. But no matter how hard and how risky it is, she chooses to take care of the life that she's carrying until the day of the birth of a new soul that brought happiness to her heart.
