Hello beautiful people!🖐️
Sure you're having the best of the week? Mine has been on a good ground. Today was exceptionally good, I found a 1,000 naira note on the pocket of my trouser while washing clothes, I couldn't believe it because 1,000naira is a big money to be left on a pocket. It just made my day🤸.
Thank you sponsors✌️🥰
My topic today would be centered on SWEAR, as in swearing or taking an oath on doing or not doing a particular thing.
I know some religious bodies are against this principle but a lot of people still do it.
When it comes to spiritual oath taking or swearing, it majorly involves engaging two spiritual God(s), the almighty God and other gods . I know there are other platforms of oath taking like oath of law before a Lord (chief judge), which has to do with mere human punishment attached to some terms and conditions.
But I'll be talking more about the spiritual involvement here.
Let tell you a little story;
In my home town, there was a pastor that was robbed by someone he knows very well, the man succeded in the robbery but unknown to him the pastor noticed him.
When it was dawn(morning), the pastor used police to arrest the man, he was so sure that it was the man that robbed him but he had no evidence to show. They interrogated the man and he denied. The pastor vowed to bring out the truth, he challenged the man for an oath and man was glad to hear that the pastor summoned him for oath taking.
On getting to the place, he met traditionalist with deity placed on the ground(the oath was to be done via the deity of the land). The man gave up the truth, he confessed immediately that he was the one that robbed the pastor that night. He was scared of quick strike by the gods.

When the man heard about the call for oath taking, he gladly accepted because he thought the oath would be to the almighty God. He never thought that the man of God could go that far, leaving the "God in his church" to the get the "gods of the land".
The event was noised abroad to the extent that the pastor received accolades from people on his decision while members of the church were mocked.
It's very clear that the almighty God reacts slowly to things like this while the gods of the land (deity) respond quickly, hence people prefer using the quickest one to justify a situation.
When the pastor was asked on why he chose the gods instead of Almighty God, he stated this difference and he knew that the man will surrender once he sees that they're dealing with a god that strikes suddenly.

I was reading through my news feed today and I had a bunch of laughter when I came across a similar topic.
A guy was narrating his experience with his girlfriend, he was seeking advice from people on what to do about his suspected cheating girlfriend.
He dropped screenshots of his chat with girl where she was denying some facts and the guy said;
*"Babe, the only way to prove to me that you're not lying is to swear, I don't mean the GOD SWEARING, I want you to swear to the gods of our land"*
Omo! I busted into laughter🤣. He wanted it "sharp sharp" and doesn't want a delay.

I'm not underrating the Almighty God, ofcourse He has His way of passing His judgement. He love to give a 'long rope' and chance for repentance before passing His punishment.
I don't know if I should ask, but anyways;
By any means you're to make someone to say the truth on a particular matter, which Method would you adopt? God, gods or the law?
Please, the question is just for fun.
Thanks for reading💝💝💝

Don't worry friend, I do understand what you mean and it seems to me a great incentive to carry out a certain task, since it is from a pressure that can become positive
