Careless man

Today's morning, we woke up to meet a devastating man in our compound. According to him, he said he lost N24,000 (around $33) in the night but he didn't noticed untill this morning.

What actually happened...

He passed the night in the kiosk in our compound and boys that don't sleep at night, smartly moved away the bag containing the money while he was sleeping. He didn't noticed because he was asleep like a dead man.

So he woke up this morning and couldn't find his bag that was with him before he slept. He raised alarm and was asking us if we saw any bag...that was when we knew that he was with a bag that contained such money.

He began to blame the kiosk owner for not waking him up when they were closing yesterday's night. The woman said she woke him up severally but he didn't wake up because he was fast asleep and there's no way he would have dragged him out because it'll look like insult.

Actually, the man f*ckup to have slept outside with that kind of money with him and the worst is that, he's an heavy sleeper. If he had known, he would have given the bag to the kiosk woman to hold for him but he never thought that something like that would happen in the night.

I felt pity for him though because of the way he was lamenting, the money he lost seems very important to him...he almost dropped tears.

On the other hand, the scenario doesn't make sense at all. What would make a grown-up man to pass the night in a kiosk? I'm very sure he has a house but still decided to sleep in an open area that's filled with mosquitoes. Or it could be that he was chased out of house by his wife or girlfriend (just joking 😂,,, but it's very possible).

The only possible reason that can make him to sleep outside is, if he's drunk but he doesn't look like someone that was drunk when he woke up this morning. I'm just wondering why he slept outside.

We could not tackle him with blames on why he slept outside because we don't know the reason, but that's his irresponsibility.

At the time of writing this (1:30pm), he has come to our compound more than 10times, searching for means to get his money back which we know it's not possible. Maybe he's thinking that the person that collected his bag will be parading in that area with the bag so he can catch them. Lol😂.
