First, an update
On 18 August, I'd written an article as a result of being tagged. That article was posted yesterday but it was only a "Prelude" to the actual event. There is a follow-up (to be continued...) piece but I haven't the time to write that yet because I'll be busy the next two days.
Due to this, I'll be posting from my Article Bank for the next two days. Let's start.
Getting Moldy
Today is Saturday, 14 August 2021. It is just like any ordinary day. Sitting around doing nothing, chilling as usual. It is really unlike any other day. Nothing much is happening.
Well, that is about to change. Being locked up at home during the pandemics has somewhat taken its toll on me. I'm getting moldy! I need some sunshine. I need to see the blue sky, the green mountain, the flowers, and anything little things that catch my eye. I look forward to going out.
As I'd said, it's been a while, so every view seems fresh! Taking my time to take in all the details. Let every single ray comes through my view and gets registered in my memory. I'm soaking in every second of it.
The sky seems bluer. The sunlight caressing the clouds displaying the positive vibes of silver linings so strikingly.
I thought I noticed a slight rainbow arch smiling down on me. Let me stop and imprint that in my memory. It is not often that one sees a rainbow in the sky, however small.
A Natural Couple
Looking far into the horizon, the blue sky and the green mountains seem like a perfect match when illuminated by the dazzling all-pervading sunlight. A perfect picture of a couple locked together forever, in light and in darkness.
As I walked about, something caught my eye. Though I wasn't on a birdwatching expedition, something eerily familiar stopped me on my track. Birds that were frozen in time. I just had to get closer to have a look. Green ones, yellow ones. I'm taking them all in.
Since flowers are a popular topic, I'd decided to be on the lookout for some in the surrounding area. After all, there is still the danger of the pandemic lurking everywhere so not venturing too far away and staying close by is a good idea.
A Hairy One
Not too far away, something hairy got my attention. On closer inspection, it looks like a flower. I wasn't sure. Some of these have attracted ants, so it must be a type of flower that attracts ants and insects to help propagate itself. I make sure I have a good look at the hairs.
A Protruding One
A few steps away, another weird-looking display of nature had distracted my focus on the current hairy attraction. This time it was something sticking out from a thick bush of green and it's all red! Again, on closer look, I noticed ants busy scurrying around on it. So, again, I deduced that it's a flower based on the same argument applied to the hairy flowers.
Let's Call It A Day
Not wanting to be exposed too long to the outside world during the pandemic, I've decided to call it a day. That was enough excitement for a day. The matching couple, frozen birds, hairy and long protruding flowers - that's a lot to take in for a day. That should be enough memory to satisfy me for at least a period of time.
Snap, Snap!
Thank you for following my adventure today. I'm the window to the world. It has been my privilege to be your camera today. I want to help you capture moments you treasure. Do remember to take me out again soon. Don't let me gather mold.
Thank you for reading. It's been since school days since I'd written something like this. Do you remember such writing exercises? Writing from the perspective of a daily used item?

Colorful birds and a huge protruding one. Interesting set :D Even now going out and staying out still brings me anxiety. We really have to be careful out there.
