It is just creative writing

So I was going through the comment section for one of my latest article:-https://read.cash/@Jumper-01/what-some-tv-series-and-movies-have-taught-me-about-life-3daa6358 when I noticed this particular comment below 👇🏻

I was like ahh “ni ki ni” which in Yoruba language means “all for what”. I was so surprised but amazed at the same time that @AnonSunamun took his time to read, analyze and even comment on my article now If I didn’t know better I would assume that he was maybe criticizing the what I have wrote but nevertheless, I understand what he was trying to say and where he was coming from but still I am just trying to tell him that this is just creative writing. Yes movies over exaggerates most times and when they aren’t exaggerating they are giving a not so accurate account of life events or real life situations but then again some of these things we can relate after all movies are a product of things that happen in our Everyday society.

For example nollywood would make you believe that the more adversity your love story face the stronger it becomes or that a princess will one day fall in love with a poor, uneducated local farmer with a good heart whose mother is sick and father was a late friend to the king. Only for them to find out that the poor, uneducated farmer was in fact the rightful heir to the throne. Ahh 😅😅😅 “impossible stuvvs”.

Or is it Hollywood that would tell you that superheroes fight to save a city while destroying the city they are Saving or tell you things when you see a beautiful girl just start singing and dancing and instantly she going to fall for you and y’all gon live happily ever after. 😅😅😅 really ?

Don’t even get me started on Bollywood with too much film tricks and unbelievable events. I have been meaning to ask how come they sing and dance so many times in just one movie. Must be really hard being an actor in Bollywood. Hehehehe.

My point is most movies are a fragment of the writers imaginations or a product of his creative interpretation and so is writing. Just because I tell you that I have picked up a thing or two in certain movies that I have seen doesn’t mean that is where i get all my moral directions and life lessons and it certainly doesn’t make those lessons less real. I am just saying we learn from where we can and just move with it.

..And yeah you said something about teaching your kids to watch only the news and talk shows well great!! Good for him that is also awesome. Everybody should raise their kids in the best way they can. I watch the news sometimes and I love talk shows on public topics and all but also I love watching movies. In all let’s just find ways to better our life and enjoy the little things of life.
