So, I made 2 dressings. One is made of mayonnaise and catsup. We do this dressing for chips but it is good for salads too. The other one is suggested by @Biyaawnur and @Allen0187 - a combination of olive oil and vinegar. I added basil leaves for added taste. Kuya Vin suggested to add lemon to olive oil but I read it too late. The salad is almost gone. 😁

Having lunch with the whole family happens only every Sunday as each of us has work and mostly not at home on weekdays . It is only on Sundays that we are complete. That is why Sunday lunch is special. Pork ribs with seaweed (guso) salad is being served on the table. Happy tummy = happy family. 😁👨‍👩‍👦

Good morning noisy people. 🌞 Woke up early to the sound of the birds' chirping, went out to the terrace to have a morning talk with my plants. Witnessed the rising of the sun, its rays shining thru my babies. Also saw my Viva Las Vegas adenium's bud that has fallen down before it fully blooms. My office set up this morning. Our GOOD neighbour, the one who I had a tiff last week, though was not able to proceed with his plan to put a post in the road right of way, is now having contractors transfers some electrical wires using a T type of wire set up. What's for dinner folks? Escabeche - is a type of sweet and sour fish with sliced vegetables. A fish vendor happens to pass by bringing with him fresh Katambak (Trumpet Emperor) fish. Best for escabeche. Love it when there's a lot of ginger. 😋❤

Bought a kilo of mango last weekend, I usually buy the not so ripe mangoes so that it will last for a few days. Yesterday, a vendor drop by our place, She was carrying a basketful of ripe mangoes and grapes on her head. Just to slightly lighten her load I bought 2 kilos of mango and a kilo of grapes. 🥭🍇 I now have plenty of ripe mangoes. To prevent them from over riping, we made again Graham Mango Ice Cream cake for desserts. Wanna try some? 😋

It was just a few minutes after my daughter read the announcement of a power outage when our lights suddenly went off. Everything is black. This is the time that I am thankful of the strong heat of the sun earlier today as the battery for the solar power was fully charged. I was DUPED! Big time DUPED! Php 10,000.00 ($205) 😡🤬 I received the news this morning from my broker that my application for Electrical Permit for Solar installation was denied. The plans that were submitted, both electrical and structural plans, were all wrong or lacking specs. The guy who have this plans made was an employee of Solar Systems, the company where I bought the solar panels. When I called the company, he has already resigned. Now I have to start over. 😡🤬😡

Took a short break from work and visited some plants. I saw one succulent that has some dried leaves. So I took my tools and got ready for a small operation 😁 of removing the tiny dried leaves. But when I pulled one leaf, the whole plant was pulled off. It turned out that the whole stem was rotten. I slowly cut off some branches that were not damaged yet and hope that I can revive them. 😢 Air drying them before planting.

Cooked bolognese for snack. I only have pasta shapes so I used this instead of spaghetti. When I checked on YT on how to cook this, there were several versions, so I made my own version by combining ingredients mentioned in several tutorials. 😁 It turns out delicious. 😋 Want to share with me? 😉

Been watching YouTube tutorials again. This time how to propagate hibiscus in water. I cut this yesterday, it says that in 7 - 10 days time, it will start to have white spots where the roots will grow and a few leaves. Let's see if this is true. 😁

Update on the hibiscus / gumamela cuttings. After just three days in water, some have now sprouted small leaves. There are also white spots on the stem that were submerged in the water. All in all, I think this will be a successful propagation. Will update again in a few days time.

Bought this last Sunday at the mountains, not sure what its name is so I use the Picture This app to identify its name. It says that this is a White Turmeric flower so I research if it is true, and it is true indeed. 😁 I was just wandering why White Turmeric when its lavender in color. 😁

A vintage vehicle. My husband's uncle is a trusted employee at the hacienda. He lives within the hacienda property. Beside his house are the vintage vehicles that are still being used during sugarcane harvest.

Was able to cut some stems yesterday and was not able to put them in water last night, so tired from the trip. Hopefully this will be successful too as I don't have this color yet.
