There's so many happenings in our life that we really need to take seriously especially when it comes to our home, our country. Living in one country, we have great responsibilities as a citizen in it. Youth this days seems to be blinded to what is really happening in our homeland. In our daily life upto now we experienced problems after problems but as a filipino, we are known for our resiliency through tough times. We survived many colonization, fighting for our freedom and thanks to our heroes we have one now. Their good deeds and love for their homeland pays off. Upto now we are still savoring the sweetness of their sacrifices.
As a citizen of one country we have to know our responsibilities towards our home. In schools we learned so many of those responsibilities in order for our country to become a better one. But as time passed by, it seems those lessons are being burried and not able to apply it in real world. Still some people are not practicing those lessons taught to us.
Does being a good citizen in your own contry a hard thing to execute? My answer to that is no, it's not hard at all. Why? Because in the first place being good started inside our house, our parents taught us about it first. Second we learned it in school which broaden our knowledge about being good. Third we learned it outside the real world, by experiences. Being good has been implanted in our soul since we are a child. We executed it in our childhood days but as we grow up it's fading away. From generations to another generation it's slowly fading away, I can see it now and I'm just sad that my fellow youths this days are turning into a bad one harming the citizens of his/her own country. Let me just remind you that being a good citizen is one our responsibilities as a citizen in our country.
Another responsibility is closely related to being a good citizen. What is that? What I'm talking about is our responsibility to be a law abiding citizen. Laws are created and meant to be there to have order in a country. As a citizen we must follow all the laws in order not to have problems later on. Is it hard to follow laws? Not at all because we learned it also in school and we can compare it in directions in pur exams. If we can follow the directions correctly, the outcome will be great but if it we failed to follow it correctly , the result will be disaster. So please be a law abiding citizen especially in this time of crisis. No one can tell when this pandemic will end but by complying to the protocols now we can fasten the recovery of our country and we can slow down the spread of virus.
Another one is our responsibility in choosing who our leader that will stand as the foundation and father/mother of our country. Being a voter is our responsibility as a citizen. Why? Because as a democratic country we have the power to elect one individual and it's part of our freedom so use it wisely. As a citizen of our homeland we have the power to screen those individuals that can give us a better security aside from better life because it's useless to have a better life if the security in our country is not in order. So that later on we have the voice to complain on what's going on in our home. My teacher once said that "If you didn't vote you don't have the right to complain". Vote for what is good for the future and not to be stock by the past.
Yesterday we went to COMELEC to check our names if we are still valid to vote next year and luckily still valid. That's why I'm out yesterday and sorry for not interacting these past days because something is going on. The thoughts in this article is a little bit vague but I'm hoping that you still get what I want say.
Despite what's going on around me there's still a blessing that came from our SK chairman. School supplies for all the students here in our barangay and for all those who have plans to enroll. It's not that much but still I can say that they're doing their duty as a public servant.
I'll end my article with this one. If you're going through tough times and don't know what to do, just rest, take a deep breath and talk to God. I'm sure He will listen to you and answer your prayers in due time. It's okay to get tired of everything so rest but don't give up and lose hope. Thank you for reading this far.

Political decision is coming and being a productive member of society implies we really wanted to adjust those lawmakers that will run on administration, we should not look on one side, we really wanted to look what they made, how they are intending to help the advancement of this country. We wanted to cast a ballot a legitimate individual that will cause this nation to recuperate from grievous impact of COVID-19.
