No, I will not stop telling people "BCH is Bitcoin."
No, I will not stop telling people "BCH is Bitcoin." *And why not!?* The answer is quite simple. BTC might have more cumulative proof of work, but *BTC is not a valid Bitcoin chain*. Bitcoin has always had consensus rules which must be valid in order for the chain to be valid, no matter how much work proof it has. You can change the consensus rules to print 1000 BTC per block forever, and miners might mine the shit out of your fork, thinking to get rich, but it will never be "bitcoin" because the chain just isn't valid. Even if it's the "longest." So, first, the chain must adhere to the validity rules for being Bitcoin, and then, if there are competing chains *within that rule set*, the longest chain with the most cumulative work "is Bitcoin." This isn't something that I just made up to try to win an argument. The system has *always* been like this. There was never a time where "longest chain wins" irrespective of rules. Ever. **First** a block has to be valid; **then**, if there are two competing chains of valid blocks, the chain with the most work is the winning chain. Bitcoin always worked like this. This leads to an important conclusion: * The proof of work is *objective*, but * The rule set is *subjective*, and what's more, * **The rule set supersedes the proof of work!** Therefore, the rules in force on my node tell me that the longest Bitcoin branch with the most work is **the branch known as BCH**: this is the chain which implements rules that are consistent with the project goals of low-cost, cashlike, casual transactions between any two willing parties with no need for a financial middleman, where the transaction that is seen first by the network is considered valid, and later attempts to double-spend are rejected, even if they pay a higher fee. The BTC branch may have more work, but its rules do **not** implement a system consistent with Bitcoin: a Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System, and therefore is not considered "valid Bitcoin" by my node, or thousands of others for that matter. The BTC branch is only considered "valid" by nodes which failed to follow the 2017 Bitcoin block size upgrade -- a hard fork upgrade to the consensus rules consistent with the original project goals and in fact proposed and planned by the project's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. https://bitcoin.com/bitcoin.pdf https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1347.msg15366#msg15366 *But so many people disagree with you! Can't we just go along to get along?* I fully concede that my opinion is the minority opinion and some people would like me to change my point of view in order to "get along." Too bad. "Getting along" is of no importance to me. There was a time in human history when the "minority opinion" was that the Earth was round, that it was older than 6000 years, and that it circled around the Sun. How silly it seems now to believe otherwise! Likewise, some people think that Bitcoin is a system that rejects cashlike usecases, which demands a financial middleman to make casual transactions, and where the later higher-paying version of a transaction is the valid version of that transaction. One day this will be understood to be as ludicrous as holding a pre-Copernican view of the Universe. BCH is Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System. https://bitcoin.com/bitcoin.pdf BTC... *isn't.*

pow has more functions: 1. resolve which of two otherwise "same" chains is bitcoin 2. executive, where it (picks and) enforces the rules (look into the work of Javier Gonzales) 3. fair distribution
BCH is Bitcoin, BTC is not.
Regardless, time will tell how and who got the right to be called Bitcoin. You already have that analysis, sir. We will follow developments.
You really explained it well even if i don't understand much about bitcoin, however i am trying my hard effort to understand it. The problem with some people is that the earth to thier senses is not moving but it is.
I just came here to say 'how in the world did you get 11k in tips? that's insane!!!' I'm trying to understand the article but I'm still too newbie to comprehend so I'm gonna have to brush up more first.
really, this is not understandable. maybe some sponsor decided to send some BCH to this guy. and yes, it was MarcDeMesel who did it. But I am sure they know each other, so, wish them good luck and stay with the feet on the ground.
I don't know Jessquit other then his article history here. I see he wrote 11 months ago some good articles, understands voluntarism, capitalism and Bitcoin Cash very well, and nailed the problem of Bitcoin Cash on the head with this article. We should not accept BTC to claim the name Bitcoin, and destroy it, while we accept second place name with Bitcoin Cash. We are Bitcoin much more so than BTC. We should act like it by calling BCH Bitcoin and calling out BTC as not Bitcoin anymore.
I am not judging you. It's your money, you do whatever you like with it. Just an very unusual tip. Have a nice day and I hope you'll make more money today than you tip.
You're doing God's work Marc, I've never come across such generosity in my life. You're an inspiration. Have a great day ahead!
Hi Marc, what you have been doing so far is a program that is already on the best track. Although there are still many people who doubt that. You don't need to reciprocate what you don't need to reply to. As you said BTC and BCH have the right to declare Bitcoin. The difference is, BCH is Bitcoin Cash and BTC is Bitcoin TC.
Hey bro, buy yourself a hardware wallet, storing 11k in exchange/desktop or mobile wallet is too hella risky
Wow, just wow *slow clapping* you just nailed it bruh! Good job and congrats!🎉🎉🎉🎉
For overseas worker like me wherein sending money with higher fees here in Seychells, I can say BITCOIN CASH is my lifeboat. My HOPE. Thank you for the enlightenment regarding the reality of BITCOIN CASH as the real Bitcoin from what I have understood and even Roger Ver mentioned this many times. My mind could not fathom still how nodes and other technicalities when it comes to block size but all I know and for practical reason, BITCOIN CASH indeed followed what BITCOIN's whitepapers on P2P electronic transaction. I hope we won't be blinded so much with metrics and rankings. Thanks for this post. You deserve 12k or more
I started to love BCH.😇😇
I started to love BCH.😇😇
MarcDeMesel, you are the only tipper on all of these articles, how do you see read.cash being a success?
Same here. I'm just a newbie maybe i can understand ot later.
BTC is like a gold nowadays. BTC transaction cost alot, while BCH isn't. Let's see how the BCH will take over in years to come. Cheers, for a great article.
Now that @Jessquit has your attention; may i be so bold as to direct you to a little introduction I wrote on how BTC came into existence? Or is this frowned upon? https://read.cash/@ChaosElephant/btc-has-been-a-scamcoin-in-the-hands-of-banks-for-a-long-time-now-c8ac5354
It may be minority opinion, but that is also my opinion. At some point it will become the majority opinion.
Before I read the post , I was speechless wondering why ? Then I get a cup of coffee and read it for more than 70 times. I get your point and you deserve that tip you got from MarcDeMesel. You provide a well -analyzed arguments why bitcoin cash is the real bitcoin. Thanks for your valuable piece of information Jessquit.!
Some of the comments under this post are absurd. You either see people who clearly do not understand what the fuck the article is about (Too many technical terms) like me concurring the hell out of the poster because of that humongous tip by Marc, or you see others trying to shove their own BCH related articles up Marc's nose for equal recognition then you got the jealous butthurts who think the writer and the tipper(Marc) are the same person. WTF? LMAO!
Wow. Amazing, this could be the highest tip anyone could receive here but understanding this guy's analysis of BCH and his journey since joining the platform, all I could say is this author really deserved the tip from sir Marc. I see this article as a boosted one but even if this author boost his article daily it just a small amount compared to his contributions to the community.
I think you are somehow right, only BCH have capabilities to go side by side with BTC. May be i am wrong, only time will tell.
now day BTC reach in the moon 🌞
11k $ Congrats !!!
BCH is the real deal. It's only a matter of time until the people realize this.
Every coin is coin, just enjoy the moment and find the opportunities.
Nice article, but the reality we're living in rn is, bch is a hard fork, BTC won... BCH is still highly undervalued and has better use potential than almost every crypto with the exception of xrp... bch fails to gain the banking industry which is a major downfall but regardless I look for 12k bch by June 2022
Is this your acct on publishox? https://www.publish0x.com/writter-blog/no-i-will-not-stop-telling-people-bch-is-bitcoin-xxwldwg
No, that is a plagiarism.
A newbie here
now day BTC reach in the moon 🌞
Interesting point of view, what about mining? BCH is more affordable to mine and has more profitability than BTC? Currently. I only mine TRTL with my Exynos and RaspberryPi3B+ Rev 1.2 with XY Labs BridgeX. But I plan to mine LTC in a near future, and I am studying the case to mine BCH. Thanks for this article on one of the greatest BTC hardforks ever!
your article is very helpful I feel the new BCH crypto currency is a valuable currency in terms of the economy and society
