Look around, it is there

Having self-control is something everyone should have although there are people who struggle with it. It’s not what happens to you that determines your mood only buts also, it’s what happens in you that contributes to what happens to you.

There are so many people get upset over things they can’t control, this should not be so because you can't control everything in life.

The dictionary gives the meaning of self-control as restraint or discipline in personal actions and desires. It’s the ability to hold back yourself from doing something even in times of pressure. Self-control becomes needed in times when it looks like there's no other choice but to react and respond to the situation. When we make it a goal to have self-control, we can say things like; I won’t let my emotions run me over, I won’t let others have control over me, I will press on even when things are tough, I will choose the right way when I feel like there is no other choice.

Self-control empowers you to be able to choose what you want to do and what you don’t want to do. You have the ability to tell yourself to be calm, to not say or do something irrationally. Self-control by study has been seen to be one of the indicators of success in life. In fact, self-control has greater influence on life circumstances than intelligence. For example, when you see two people fighting which eventually leads to destruction of properties, self-control could have averted that outcome if one of them had that self-control.

No matter the circumstance around you, you just need self-control to keep in tune.

Self-control is needed for everyone to live successfully and peacefully in this world.

I believe that every person is born with a gift and a purpose. However, for too many people, that gift and purpose is lost and not realized. Other times, it’s hard to find your gift or purpose because the grass is always greener on the other side.

Some people quit after just a few attempts to achieve something they want. While others, continually look elsewhere for fortune, opportunity and success while they sit on the fence of opportunity. My question is this, if you look around you, there are more opportunities than you need. You don’t need to look elsewhere for opportunity, achievement or fortune.

There are a lot of self-proclaimed experts who feel that if you don’t have a degree or some type of certification that you are somehow inferior or less qualified. The truth is, there are opportunities for you if you simply look around and work with what you have and what you have at your disposal right now.

Most people are unaware of the opportunities that are there for you in your very own life. The thing is, if you look around you at what is in your life right now, there are plenty of opportunities for you today. You don’t need to look elsewhere for opportunity, achievement or fortune.

If you feel stuck in your current situation, that’s okay. Feel the feelings that you feel and start to explore what it is that you want.

If you look around you, there are opportunities for you.

You don’t need not look elsewhere for opportunity, achievement or fortune.

All of the opportunities you could possibly want can be found where you are now, in your present community, job, family and other circumstances.

The grass is not always greener o the other side, maybe you just need to cultivate the grass around you.

If you believe in your abilities and focus on self-development, great things can happen. We all live in different communities and circumstances but if we are aware of the opportunities within our circumstances, we can make the most of them.
