"You can't judge a book by its cover" It's a common adage defining someone's real character based on physical appearances. Just like reading a real book, some would just skim and skip without even knowing the plot of the story. Some would suddenly jump to a conclusion and would miss the climax and the characters written in the book. And in the real world, many would simply define our character by our physical looks without even knowing our real story. It is as if their eyes can read our minds and can see our hearts.
Some would also define us based on the mistakes we've made in the past. Just like in the blogging world, some would judge us based on the detector's result without manually checking the content. They like giving constant judgment like the never-ending political tug of war without reading the whole story of the book. (But if you happen to read this part, say hi). It is worth noting that every book has new pages where we could write beautiful and better stories, applying the lessons we have learned in the past, for the better.
On the other side, it is also undeniable that many of us would look at outward appearances when choosing preferences on things because what matters to them is beauty. Some would even buy things that would cost them an arm and a leg just to look beautiful and to please the eyes of others. It is truly absurd thinking about this matter. Why invest too much money in beautiful clothes when they can just buy comfortable ones? Besides, they can't bring those when they leave this world and there are more serious issues in the world wherein we could make our money worth spendings, such as helping those less fortunate ones that are stuck in poverty and hunger.
Many children also experienced being bullied by the judgemental ones, those who only look at beautiful faces. When I was young, I got bullied because of my ugly physical appearance and clothes. But most of the time I would just act playing possum and pretend nothing happened. What can I do if that's what God gave me? I was only young and didn't have the power to change my life. So I just move forward, leaving those memories in the past as I don't want to put a chip on my shoulder. I rather mind valuable stuff than think about those bullies in the past.
When I grew and became more capable of changing my life, I still preferred to go to a flea market than to malls when buying clothes and other personal stuff. This world is getting more expensive day by day, so why spend a lot of money on material things? I would rather invest in health to be as fit as a fiddle, so I could continue grinding to achieve my goals in life. This aspect is pretty much more important than buying expensive stuff.
We should be practical and should not just think about improving our physical characteristics, rather, think about how we could improve our lives and be good individuals. Don't wait until you got empty pockets before you realize more important aspects than material possessions. And someone would definitely tell you, "read 'em and weep!" if that happens.
Some became even obsessed with beautifying themselves to the point that they forgot to be grateful for what they have and appreciate those blessings. Some would literally do bad things just to satisfy their luxurious indulgence and impractical yearnings. As if their lives are revolving around the luxurious world that is tough to escape. But if you are being pressured by your world, get out of it. Just like if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen before you get burnt!
Yada Yada! This is boring...
And you might be wondering why I made these ramblings, the byproduct of my writer's block. This is indeed our daily battle in blogging that is inevitable. But if you can't think of a certain topic to write about, there's a place where you could go, the Random Word Generator. You can generate random prompts, words, phrases, sentences, questions, and more. And this has always been my savior.
For today's ramblings, I used these phrases.
I remember, Prof. Kudo has a prompt about idioms too. You guys can try this when you can't think of a certain topic to write about. Let your imagination flow and express them out through your fingers.
Thanks for reading.

The thing that got to me here was that people are always so cruel. I feel as though some people end up being kinder after all they have endured, but other people end up being as mean spirited as they can to almost get back at the world. I swore I would never hurt anyone the way I have been hurt in my life, and so far it has done me well.
