The Transformation Of HK Into Wonderland Every Christmas Season July 28, 2021 It's still a long way to go before Christmas but this travel blog series of mine makes me reminisce especially the Christmas seasons as I only experienced and witnessed things here in HK that I have never experienced before. Since you guys like virtual tours, let me take this opportunity to share with you how HK transformed into a wonderland during the Christmas season. It has been their annual events to turn the famous landmarks and malls into wonderlands to allow tourists and locals to experience a world-class and one-of-a-kind experience in their whole stay here in HK. HK may not have snow during winter, but what makes the holiday seasons unforgettable and worth it are the magical Christmas displays all over HK. From kids to the elderly, everyone will surely amaze and enjoy roaming around HK and visiting the landmarks and malls with spectacular Christmas displays that usually run for the whole month of December. The top places that I usually visited every December are: Tsim Sha Tsui Central Causeway Bay Admiralty But you can also find other amazing Christmas displays in other parts of HK. Let's start the tour. HK Christmas Displays from 2018 to 2019 First of all, I will introduce my beautiful HK friends, my travel buddies, from left Rachelle, Michelle, Yours truly, and Abbie.

The photo above was taken at Landmark Atrium in Central. We visited this place after attending the Christmas mass at St. John Parish in Central HK last 2018. Christmas Displays at Landmark Atrium Central Landmark Atrium is the most visited place of Central HK during the holiday seasons and my top destination because of its spectacular and magical Christmas display. Every year, they have different themes and displays that everyone, especially kids, loves to visit. The place is always full despite the pandemic restrictions last December 2020. Cocoaland (December 2018)

Cocoa monsters have overtaken Landmark last December 2018. The luxury mall was transformed into a chocolate-filled forest and rivers, along with spectacular lights and Christmas music, that filled the Atrium with festive cheer. The monsters weren't scary, but adorable during this season.

**Toy Shop and Santa Paws Village (December 2019)**

The Atrium was overtaken by Santa Paws and Toy Shop was built for the kids to play with. There's no snow in HK, but the Santa Paws village was dusted with snow. I love most especially the cute Christmas carolers that walk through the village train station. There was also a dancing giant snowman and reindeer and some visitors stopped by the Wishing Machine.

Santa Paws and Polar Paws (December 2020)

Santa Paws has extended their holidays in HK and this year, they tag along with their Polar Paws friends. The giant snowman has changed his attire and the giant Christmas tree in the center of the village was truly spectacular. The paws are really cute, aren't they?

From Central let's go to Tsim Sha Tsui. Christmas Displays at Tsim Sha Tsui Among all cities of HK, TST has a lot of Christmas displays every Christmas season, from the harbor to the famous landscapes, the city is always filled with amazing Christmas displays and carols will be heard all over the city. Giant Kaleidoscope (December 2018) Last 2018, TST was our last destination, so we were not able to visit other landmarks with Christmas displays. But Abby and I visited a giant kaleidoscope and paid for its HK$50 entrance fee to experience the 30 minutes stay inside the kaleidoscope.

But aside from the giant kaleidoscope, there were also beautiful displays at Victoria Harbour, Peninsula, and 1881 Heritage. 1881 Heritage Christmas Display 2019 1881 Heritage is popular for its colonial-style architecture, even newlyweds love to take photos here. A 15-meter tall Christmas lantern with other Christmas trees illuminated the place.

And I was grateful to take a perfect shot under this amazing Christmas tree. This year, I roamed around HK alone because my friends were not available that day. But since there were Filipinas everywhere, I had my photographer, lol.

1881 Heritage Christmas Display 2020 Giant Polar bears and a Christmas tree was seen at this place last year. Due to pandemic restrictions, the displays and excitements of the visitors weren't that cheerful as before.

Victoria Harbour TST 2019 Christmas in HK always starts with illuminating Christmas lights along Victoria Harbour, to shopping malls and other landscapes. And this year, the harbor was transformed into a Sweet Forest. Inside the forest were spectacular pink giant Christmas trees.

Victoria Harbour TST 2020 The team last year was Christmas Every Day giving the visitors a message to stay grateful and happy despite the pandemic crisis.

Christmas Displays at Admiralty HK Pacific Place 2019 The mall was transformed into Santa's study place and a one-stop-shop for all Christmas displays.

Giant Christmas trees and Santa's elves were everywhere to give you a Christmas present. Kids and families have also sneaked a peek into Santa's private study room and took photos with him, with an entrance fee of course.

Pacific Place 2020 Last 2020, Santa and his crew traveled from the North Pole to Hong Kong through Santa's ship.

Christmas Displays at Causeway Bay Time Square 2019 Different booths were installed and each booth has different Christmas 3D decorations

Santa came out from the fireplace and gave gifts to visitors, lol.

Time Square 2020 Pokemon invaded the whole place and built different booths that sheltered different pokemon.

I love most especially the booth of my favorite pokemon - Pikachu.

If you want to visit Hong Kong, the best time to do it is during the Christmas holidays to experience a one-of-a-kind festive experience and witness spectacular Christmas displays while roaming around the city.
