Online Shopping, Was It Worth It? **| 23rd Dec 22| No. 357 |** Online shopping isn't my forte as I prefer buying at physical stores to avoid getting products of low quality. But with the recent gift-giving in the Ph community, I got no choice but to download an online shopping app since I am abroad and this is the only way to give out gifts to people in my country. There are a lot of temptations on this app and one would definitely get hooked and would stay longer browsing the listed items on sale. Aside from low prices and on-sale products, it is more convenient to buy online as customers don't need to travel to stores or carry heavy shopped items. Shopping is actually a hassle for me. My first Shopee experience was fun, yet, distressing when I wasn't able to use the gift and free shipping vouchers. I was too careless to directly place orders without knowing that I needed to input discount vouchers for each store, as well as the free shipping offered by the platform. I thought everything will be automatically deducted after placing orders. But I was wrong. https://read.cash/@Jane/the-first-shopee-experience-9cf4e7c9 Moreover, I thought shopping on Shopee is the same as on Taobao (a Chinese Online Shop) where all items are collected, shipped at the same time, and delivered to the delivery address in one package. But I was wrong again as items bought from each store were sent on different days, not as one package. In a short period, I got 6 completed orders and 4 to ship packages. Don't wonder, I have 3 nephews and 7 nieces, plus the siblings at home 😂. Such a hassle too to be in a big family. Some of the orders, however, are even scheduled to arrive home after New Year, lol. Online Shopping, Was It Worth It? In online shopping, it is expected to see orders that are far way different from the displayed photos in online stores. The expectations vs reality for some are truly different. Unless they posted actual photos. But most items use models, filters, and whatsoever to make the items prettier and buyers could think they are worth the money. Although I know the consequences, I still go for it, just for this year. All I can say is it's not worth the money as items may look good in the displayed photos, but the ones shipped have low quality. So this will be the first and last Shopee shopping.
