I was reading travel blogs on another platform when I came across @ARTicLEE's post wherein he attached a link to TravelFeed. The site sounds familiar but I never explored it. I never thought that it can be connected to Hive Blockchain as well to be monetized.
So for Hodophiles out there, I found another perfect place for our perfect travel photos. In case you have missed my article the other day, check it out at the link below.
Best Platforms For Your Best Photos
TravelFeed was created by a group of travelers to connect with more travelers from different parts of the world and monetize their best travel photos. This also aims to help tourists locate the places they want to visit, as well as tour accommodations and more. All travel blogs are created by independent travelers.
This is truly what I wanted, to create my own travel site, and TravelFeed would help do that while earning cryptocurrencies.
How to earn on TravelFeed?
There are four ways to sign up on TravelFeed:
Google
Facebook
Hive
Steem
Or simply use your email address if you don't want to sign in with the four options above.
You can earn cryptocurrencies by signing up with your Hive or Steem account. As for me, I chose Hive blockchain.
Just click join and connect your Hive account. You'll be needing your Hive Signer in this process.
Then click Accept and Create Account.
Apart from Hive and Steem, you can also connect to your other socials, such as Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, and Pinterest.
As easy as that, you can start sharing your travel stories on TravelFeed.
How to use TravelFeed?
You can create a post or a video and automatically cross-post it to your other socials.
You might find the editor complicated, but it is just similar to creating an article on Hive.
For inserting photos and editing, just tap the writing field and a "+" sign will appear. Just explore the editor to know the functions of each button.
You can add captions to your photos too.
At the bottom part, you can add a thumbnail and a background photo. The thumbnail is used as a preview in the feed, while the background photo will appear behind the title of your post.
Next is the map. Just search the name of the place and click on the GPS icon for the location.
Add the tags of topics relevant to your post.
TravelFeed will also help you optimize your travel posts in SEO to rank in Google by following its tools.
Add slug, meta description, focus keyphrase and do SEO and Readability Analysis to check the improvements and problems of your post before publishing.
You can also add thumbnails and post details on Twitter and Facebook. And those details will be used if someone shares your post on social media.
The last part is Visibility. By enabling the given platforms on the list, your post will be automatically cross-posted to those platforms.
For Hive, set the mode of payment, the community where you want to cross-post your travel blog and the beneficiary. (10% of your reward will go to TravelFeed to keep the platform running)
Truvvl App is the app of TravelFeed where you can also share short travel stories like Instagram. Just download the app to start sharing and connect your TravelFeed account.
Then Publish! You can preview your post before publishing it to check for some errors and improvements.
If you know HTML coding, you can set the editor to it. But I guess the easy editor is much better 🙃.
To manage your posts, just go to Dashboard where you can check the number of posts published, total views, featured posts, and replies received, as well as announcements of the platform.
Go to the Feed to see the featured posts, new posts, discover posts, videos, contests, and more of different travelers. You can also add your email address to get the newsletter and receive the best travel blogs in your inbox.
Just like on Hive, you can also upvote posts on TravelFeed by giving Smiles.
Just drag the Smile icon to choose the number of Smiles you want to give out. 10 Smiles is equivalent to 100% upvotes on Hive.
Go to Destinations to check certain countries and travel blogs taken in those countries. Explore the world through reading, from Asia, and South Africa, to the US, and Europe countries.
Aside from Hive and Steem, there are other social media and favorite apps integrated on TravelFeed as well.
You can import your blogs from WordPress or Blogger.
You can link your Youtube and Vimeo channel accounts and start sharing videos.
If you love listening to music, you can share your favorite playlist from Spotify and Soundcloud.
You can also share your travel blogs on Twitter and Facebook to attract more readers.
Explore the TravelFeed Integrations to learn more.
Do you want to make your own travel blog site? It's possible on TravelFeed.
There are no coding skills required, it's fully customizable and ready for monetization integrated on TravelFeed.
To do this, just click "Get Started For Free" and you'll be added to the waiting list.
