Updating My Learning Goals For 2021

In my post 'My Learning Goals For 2021', I listed five subjects that I want to learn and earn from for 2021. These are:

• Forex Trading

• Cryptocurrency

• Online/ social media marketing

• Robotics/Arduino

• Cybersecurity

But after the months went by, I was so focused only on one of these five learning goals. Cryptocurrency.

I as I started to learn more about cryptocurrency I realized there is so much more that I need to learn. Besides, it’s one subject where I started to earn while learning. And without the risk of investing money from my own pocket. So Forex Trading will have to wait for a bit longer.

Hi, I’m John. Today is the 25th of August. Recently, I have reviewed my learning (and earning) goals for 2021. And I realized I am stuck to one of the goals. 

As this crisis that was brought about by the covid19 pandemic continues, I had to review my goals and update them. Or it’s more on revising almost the entire list. 

In this post, I will share with you why I got stuck to one goal only, and my new list of goals.

Looking Back

Before I joined this platform, I already have a little knowledge about cryptocurrency, particularly Bitcoin. I have about PHP 1,000 worth of BTC in my wallet even before the pandemic started. Actually, I had about PHP2,000 worth before the pandemic. I had it in my wallet since the Bitcoin prices took a dive from $18,000 down to $11,000. I think that was in 2017 or 2018?. So my money was just sitting there. I did not touch the amount that I had left in my coinsph wallet for about two years. And I lost interest in cryptocurrency.

When the pandemic hit, I lost my sources of income. I started using my emergency funds. And my Internet connection got disconnected for non-payment. Then I remembered I have some money in my coinsph wallet. So, little by little, I used half of what was remaining in my wallet to load my prepaid internet connection. But, I made sure that I leave at least PHP1,000 worth of BTC.

Then in December of 2020, I was surprised to see that the remaining PHP1,000 tripled! Then without any guidance or whatsoever, I sold some BTC and started trading in ETH, XRP, and BCH. Frankly speaking, I had no idea about these three new coins. I just wanted to “wet my feet” on cryptocurrency trading.

But the price difference in coinsph between buying and selling is so huge that I could not take advantage of the little price drop and gain.

Then I joined ReadCash in the last quarter of December of 2020 and in February this year, I joined NoiseCash. But it wasn’t until March that I became active in readcash.

That’s when I started learning more about cryptocurrency

So much to Learn About Cryptocurrency 

I have read a lot of articles about Bitcoin Cash and Cryptocurrency from readcash and publish0x. And the different ways to earn them. Some require very little or no investment at all.

But all the cryptocurrency jargon that many writers used was too many for me to take and never fails to make me want to puke or move to the next article after reading a paragraph or two. Sorry guys, as an absolute newbie in cryptocurrency at the time, you were talking alien language to me.

With all the confusion and almost feeling left-out, however, I was able to write “A Newbies Guide to Misunderstanding Cryptocurrency”

Nevertheless, thanks to @CryptoMax and @Pantera, and some other writers who always try to simplify their articles related to cryptocurrency, I started to understand more of the terms and concepts used in the cryptocurrency world.

Still, I knew I still have so much to learn about cryptocurrency. Thus here is my updated learning and earning goals for 2021

1. Learn more about staking or something similar that is applicable to BCH. I don’t just want to HOLD on to my BCH, I want to put a portion of it where it can earn passive income.

2. Start offering my skills through BitWorkerss.cash. This is another potentially great portal to earn BCH using my skills on graphics design and illustrations.

3. Learn and start playing Axie Infinity. My nephew had been trying to convince to join this play-to-earn platform for weeks. 

4. Trading in cryptocurrency, I don’t think I will ever do any day trading. But, it’s good to know the basics to take advantage of the fluctuating prices. 

5. How to turn my original characters into NFTs and how to sell them

6. Online/ social media marketing. This is not just to earn cryptocurrency, but I badly needed to develop my marketing skills… and mindset.

7. How to publish an ebook. I learned this is potentially a good source of online income. I already have started writing one. I have some idea on how to turn my work into an ebook, my problem is more on where to publish it and how to sell it. Or I will probably make my own website and sell them for BCH. What do you think?

8. Digital Animation - This is one thing that I really love to learn.

These are my learning goals for 2021 for now. As you can see, my learning goals on cryptocurrency have expanded to 5 goals.
