House of the Dragon. The final chapter was leaked. It was worth it?

HBO publishes on Sunday nights ET, the new chapters of House of the Dragon, but on this occasion, the chapter was leaked a few days before. Millions of fans were so excited to see it that these things usually happen. If we take Game of Thrones as a reference, the main one, we would already be adapted to these leaks. Well, I immediately gave myself the task of downloading the chapter and dedicating 1 hour of my life to seeing the end of this series, even knowing that I would not see another chapter of it until 2024. This is where I wish someone would freeze me and woke up just when the series came out again in 2 years.

In summary, in general, the final chapter did not disappoint me at all. Even less reference to the entire series, which seemed very successful and improved with each chapter in its script, spectacular performances, and photography with special effects that were not bad at all. Maybe not at the level of Game of Thrones, but I repeat, not bad.

We finally see a fight between two dragons:

Vhagar, the most enormous dragon of his time whose rider is Aemond Targaryen, and Arrax who was very small and whose rider was Prince Lucerys Velaryon. Aemond wants revenge for losing his eye and goes on a chase to get it. Finally, the dragons are enraged and Vhagar ends up devouring Lucerys's dragon in one bite, splitting it in half and leaving the young prince lifeless.

This will definitely be the key to what comes next. It's almost worse than usurping the Iron Throne from Rhaenyra Targaryen. They have just murdered one of their sons, obviously, we are going to war without thinking twice. She was just trying to avoid it, but her face at the end of the chapter tells us that, this time, there is nothing left to lose.

Just to think that all this is written in books and that the television series shows it as well as possible following the details of the book, is impressive. Even reading a little more about it, the story is much more than what we see, obviously. You could not put everything in the book or we would never finish. Those viewers who have read George R. R. Martin's books have many more details to tell and to appreciate in the series. But those of us who have not read anything at all are constantly surprised by everything that happens.

The second season hasn't even started filming yet. It will start shooting approximately in March 2023. If we take into account that the filming and then the post-production takes a bit, with special effects included, then the second season could be seen in the summer/autumn of 2024.

The vacuum session is enormous. But we can't do anything else, we have to wait and find another series that entertains us to pass the time. It will be approximately 20 months of long wait.
