First Aid (1)- Burns

I will tread the first aid thread here, and maybe some of you will remember this when needed, as i noticed that many of my friends have no idea about what to do in critical situations. This is my gift to you all. Burns - What do do first? Remove from the heat, hold under cold water at least 10 minutes and asses if it is serious. If it is larger than a palm of your hand, if it is on the face, feet or hand or if it is a deep burn, then it is serious. For chemical burns you need to keep it under water for minimum 10 minutes. After cooling use cling film to cover. Avoid using ice, fats or oil, and do not burst blisters. You need to go to hospital if: -5% of the body was affected and it is pink color, -1% of the body was affected and it has blisters, -affected area is fully burned, -you have burned hands, feet, face or genitals, -affected person is young or elderly, -you are unsure of the burn severity.
