Hello guys, this is Herbert. Well, for some days, i realized i wasnt posting Educational matters here but todayπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ, i will be posting some nice shortcuts and other maths concepts which can help boost your speed and confidence in maths. "Geeks on mathematics" is going to be a new initiative by me coming soon. In that group, we will be solving maths and science questions and share ideas too.βœŒοΈπŸ€—

  1. Sum of (n) natural number;

=n(n+1)/2 .....eg.

Find the sum of the first 5 natural numbers.....

=5(6)/2=15.

Lets try it normally and see whether we will get this or not.

1+2+3+4+5=15✌️πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ. Its right.πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—. Now let us go to the second one.

  1. Sum of n odd and even number.

The formula for (n) odd number is;

nΒ² or n x n. Lets find the sum of the first 5 odd numbers.

5Β²=25. Wow, this was damn fast right.πŸ’ͺ. Okay lets use the counting method.

1+3+5+7+9=25 😍😍. Maths made so easy😁😁😁.

Now lets go to the even numbers.

The formula is n(n+1) .

Eg. Find the sum of the first 10 even numbers. Without counting the numbers you can solve it within 2 secondsπŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ’ͺ.

10(10+1) = 110. Cool right. This is very fast. Now lets use normal method.

2+4+6+8+10+12+14+16+18+20= 110πŸ’˜.

  • The sum of the square of the first n natural numbers.

  • Sum of squares of the first n odd and even numbers.
