Do not eat those foods on an empty stomach The greatest asset of a human being is his health. So in order to maintain good health we must always compromise with taste. Not all people have the same digestive capacity. Someone's body can't take acidic food. Someone can take all kinds of food. **Do not eat those foods on an empty stomach :🍇🍈🍉🍊🍋🥒🌶️🥕** *****1 / spicy / extra spicy food : 🌶️***** People who suffer from severe gastritis, chest burn, abdominal pain, pistols, constipation should not eat this type of food on an empty stomach. ***2 / Sugar drink / Fruit juice:🍉*** It is not advisable to eat fruit juice on an empty stomach in the morning. ***3 / Soft drinks: 🍷🍸*** It contains a lot of sugar. It destroys our digestion system. It also interferes with our liver function. ***4 / Citrus fruit :🍋*** Guava, orange, lemon is better not to eat on an empty stomach. Fruit sugar, fiber on an empty stomach will slow down our digestion automatically. *****5 / salad / raw vegetables***** : 🥒🥕🍅 Salad with mix cucumber, tomato, carrot shouldn’t eat on an empty stomach. If you eat big fish, grilled fish, boiled eggs before such a meal, then there will be no problem. Otherwise, stomach pain may start. *****6 / Coffee /Fried food : 🍻🍟***** These are very harmful for the kidneys and liver. Too bad for the heart also. [If you have an empty stomach, you can drink a glass of hot water first and then eat some easily digestible food.]

Some of my random thought about war💔 We all know that at present Ukraine and Russia are at war with each other. But this war is not at all pleasant for us. As a result of the war a country is reduced to rubble. In addition, society is becoming more and more fragmented as we see it now in Ukraine. So we should stop fighting and show respect to each other. Many people died in the war, many children lost their parents. In addition, a country was economically damaged. The family and social system collapsed and the nation was destroyed. From **World War I** (**Jul 28, 1914 - Nov 11, 1918**) and **World War II** (**Sep 1, 1939 - Sep 2, 1945**) we see how many millions of lives have been lost as a result of these two wars and the lives of those who have survived have become unbearable. So we have to say no to war. We have to survive in the world through mutual cooperation.

Terrible cremation Story: My name is Nayan. I live a very normal life. I am a village boy. I was more interested in anything. There was a magician in the village next to us who was famous for Ojha type black magic. So I was quite acquainted with him. Sometimes I would go to his place and sit and talk, I wanted to know that. So one day I want to learn magic and I tell that saint what I have to do if I want to learn magic. The saint laughed when he heard me and said that learning magic is not an ordinary task, it is a very difficult task. You have to do a lot of hard work. I was a little stubborn, I said without thinking, I can tell me what to do. The saint said again, think. I said there is nothing to think about, tell me if I can learn magic. Now listen to what the saint said. You have to go to terrible cremation on New Year's night. And an old skeleton with two bones of the head and legs. Then I can learn magic. He will teach. The ghost of learning magic was sitting on my head. So some time has passed. On the night of the new moon, I talked to a friend of mine the day before and persuaded him to go with me. Today is the night of the new moon. At 12 o'clock in the night I left for Terrible cremation with my friend and at one point I reached Terrible cremation. Silence all around Dark night How the whole smell comes from all around. I brought my bag and lights with me, I told my friend. Finding an old grave Where we find a grave in a corner It seems that I am very old and I started digging that grave. Once the digging is over, I tell my friend, you stay upstairs, see if anyone comes, I go to the grave and bring the skeleton head and the bones of the legs. Why can't I open the bones. I called my friend and told him to come here for a while but he didn't say a word. I pull the bones of the legs and open them. I will go upstairs with the bones of the head and legs. Just then I think someone is pulling me. I am not trying to be so small. I had a mobile phone with me. Continued.........

Extinct bird returned *Bird species that became extinct millions of years ago have reappeared. Not as a fossil, absolutely alive! According to various documents, this species of bird became extinct from the earth about 1 lakh 36 thousand years ago.* *This bird of the Aldbra rail species looks a lot like a chicken and a buck. This bird with white long neck and small round appearance is thousands of years old. And research is going on about it.* *Fossils of this bird were found in the Aldbra Atoll area of the Indian Ocean. That is why this species is named Aldbra Rail. Aldbra atoll birds have been seen again in and around the Aldbra atoll in the Indian Ocean.* *Not only that, these areas are full of Aldbra atoll birds. Experts say that after thousands of years, this species of bird has returned to the earth in a natural way.* *U.S. scientists have described this process of evolution as "evolutionary evolution." Details have been published in the International Journal of the Zoological Journal of the Linen Society* *Researchers at the University of Portsmouth and Natural History Museum in the United States, after a long study, claim that the Aldbra atoll in the Indian Ocean and its adjoining areas are now one and the same.* *According to U.S. experts, this is not the first case of extinction of the same species through evolution. This has happened more than once in the history of the evolution of the earth.* Thanks @Dreamer for always supporting us to write more😇
Animals that became extinct in the last century will never be seen again Dinosaurs became extinct more than six and a half million years ago The common notion is that extinction is a rare occurrence. And when you think of extinction, the dinosaur's face appears in front of your eyes. Unbeknownst to us, many animals around us are getting lost. According to the World Wide Fund for Nature, a non-governmental organization working to protect biodiversity, about 10,000 species are becoming extinct each year. The WWFN, however, says humans have no clear idea of how many species of animals now live in nature. Which is why it is difficult to say exactly how many animals are becoming extinct. Lost or extinct animals will be commemorated worldwide on November 30. Before that let's get acquainted with some of the species that became extinct: *****Waldron's Red Colobus (Ghana and Ivory Coast)***** Jibar Red Colobus extinct Miss Waldron's Red Colobus This red-headed monkey became extinct in the 2000s. They live on the border of Ghana and Ivory Coast. Miss Waldron's Red Colobus features no thumbs. These animals usually lived in groups in dense forests, which is why their numbers began to decline as the size of the forest decreased. At the same time, they became extinct because their fertility and general pattern of reproduction slowed down. *****Yangtze River Dolphin (China)***** The Chinese river dolphin was considered one of the oldest freshwater aquatic animals The dolphin was declared extinct in 2006. These pale and gray dolphins of the Yangtze River are not as attractive to look at as other dolphins. These dolphins could give a perfect idea about the location of aquatic animals. The noise, pollution and lack of food of fishermen and other traders in the rivers of China have increased, endangering their quiet and secluded life. This species is very unlikely to return. *****Caribbean Monk Seal (Seranila Arrow of Jamaica and Nicaragua)***** The going seal belongs to the tribe near this species This species of seal lived in the Caribbean. The animal was found in the Gulf of Mexico, the east coast of Central America, and the north coast of South America. But in order to melt their body fat into oil, they gradually began to die at the hands of predators. At the same time, the number of marine fish, their source of food, began to decline. They were last seen in 1952 off the coast of Jamaica and Nicaragua. *****Labama Pigto (United States)***** River oysters in the Republic Until 2007, this species of oyster was found in the Alabama River in the United States. The reason for its naming is that it looks a lot like a pig's foot, and is generally effective in preventing river pollution. But in the end they have disappeared due to pollution. This shows how dangerous levels of chemicals are in the water. *****Dodo (Mauritius)***** Not seen anymore The most famous of the extinct birds is the dodo. Like the dinosaurs, this bird became extinct long ago. When there was a human settlement in Mauritius, this bird could not fly to meet the demand for food. The last time this bird was seen was in the late 1800's. *****Stellar's Sea Cow (maritime region between Alaska and Russia)***** Stellar C. Cow seen on Bering Island in 1 This breed was huge in seal size, the adult stellar C cow was up to nine meters tall. Hunters have always looked to them for their shape and body fat. They were seen until the middle of the 18th century. *****Coaga (South Africa)***** Amsterdam Koagati died in 183 at a zoo Amsterdam Koyaga is thought to have disappeared because of its beauty. The first part of the body of this African animal is like a zebra, but the striped spots on the back of the body have become much lighter and have become like horses. The last Amsterdam coyote died in 183 at a zoo. *****Irish Elk***** Rish elk was much larger than normal elk The Irish elk or Irish deer looked just like the common elk, but was much larger in size. Its height is two meters long and its body length is more than three and a half meters. It was last seen about 6,700 years ago. *****White-tailed Eagle (UK)***** White-tailed eagle Let's end with the good news, the white-tailed eagle almost disappeared in the UK in the early twentieth century. But this is a great looking bird whose wingspan is up to two meters. Although it has become extinct in Britain, it is now seen in other European countries. But other extinct animals are not as lucky as this bird. Thanks for reading. Thanks @Dreamer @ErdoganTalk for supporting us😇😇 Every Image from Getty image

6 easy ways to increase a child's attention Many parents complain that the child is completely inattentive. Many people are tired of talking to increase attention. In fact, the child is fickle. It is difficult to put them in one place. But in the case of study, the focus must be increased.According to a report in the Indian media Anandabazar, the things that need to be emphasized in order to overcome the problem of children's attention are- *****Story telling***** Take some time before bed to tell the story. They will be interested in telling stories by acting. We have to give him a chance to ask questions in the middle of the story. It also creates a tendency for the small listener to listen patiently. The role of storytelling to increase attention is huge. *****The trick of the game***** Concentration cannot be increased by reading or drawing all the time. He can play small games in that case. Suppose you went shopping. Take the child with you. Tell him to count as many red objects as you can see in the market.Maybe you are going somewhere again, tell the child how many car number plates he saw with two, to see you count. This will also increase the child's attention. *****Indoor games***** Lots of indoor games, books are available now, which enhance the cognitive skills of the child - such as various activity books, building blocks, puzzles, etc. Giving him such games or books instead of a smartphone reduces the problem of attention a lot. *****Sweat***** At least one hour per day should be allocated for running. It will make you sweat. As a result, the body secretes more endorphins. After that, if you put the child to teach, he will have full attention in the first hour of reading. *****Small Instructions***** Give him small instructions while writing. Start with the first three - for example, when drawing, add the points, draw the outline with the color, color the inside. Gradually increase the number of instructions and see how much you can remember. If you develop the habit of doing the right thing at home, you will not have any problem in following the instructions of the teachers in the school. *****Parental responsibility***** Talk to the baby. And listen to him with your mind. If the parents are calm and listen to the child with their mind, then naturally his extra restlessness will come down. Let her do her homework. Don't do it yourself for fear of being scolded at school. In this he will understand the importance of reading. Image from `Unsplash` Thanks @Dreamer for supporting me😇😇

Bees collect honey from fruits, not from flowers You may be surprised to hear that. Seeing so long, bees have been collecting honey from the flowers .That's incredible but true. The Creator said, "Your Lord commanded the bees, make beehive in the mountains, in the trees, and in the houses of men. Eat of all kinds of fruits and follow the straight path of the Lord (which is easy to remember and follow). The colorful drink comes out of the bee's stomach. There is healing for people. There are beautiful things for wise person . "- [Surah An-Nahl, 68-69] Have you ever wondered why the Creator did not speak of flowers but of fruits? Let's do a little research on the matter. What you or I see is a bee flying and perched on a flower. That's true. But God said that bees collect honey from fruits! Then is fruit hidden inside the flower? Yes, that's right. Bees basically collect sap from the flower's uterus. What is the function of the uterus? The uterus is a process from which it changes and gradually transforms into a result. Inside this fruit are seeds. These fruits and seeds spread and germinate to form new plants. Flowers, fruits and seeds are reproduced from this new plant. This leads to the reproduction of plants, the plant community can survive on earth for a long time. That is, the uterus is not the flower but the primary shape of fruit ! And that is what Creator has commanded. Just think, 1500 years ago, did anyone know that there is any uterus in flower? And that's where the fruit comes from and the bees collect honey from there! Then the bees could be seen collecting honey from the flowers! But could anyone have imagined that it was basically fruit juice at that time? Did you realize anything? Then think a little more about the verse. Allah speaks of the bees' ability to walk on the straight path (which is easy to remember and follow). In 1973, Von Frich was awarded the Nobel Prize for his research on the behaviour and communication of bees. When a bee finds a new flower garden, it returns to the beehive and tells its other companions the exact direction and map of the garden through a bee dance. In order to provide information to other worker bees, this behaviour is scientifically discovered through other methods, including taking pictures with the help of a camera. If we look at the verse a little further down, we will see that Allah says ... It contains healing for people .... [Surah An-Nahl, 68-69] Today, scientifically proven, honey has thousands of medicinal properties. Let's take a look.....☺️ Scientists have found out through research that honey has strong antiseptic properties. The name of this power is ****inhibin****. When any liquid is mixed with honey, it becomes liquefied. When glucose reacts sweetly with a toxin called glucose oxidase, ****glucona**** turns into lactone hydrogen peroxide. This reaction destroys the germs. Studies have shown that disease-causing bacteria die when they are immersed in honey. Honey does not allow yeast to reproduce. For this reason, pure honey can be bottled and kept for many days. Honey is an excellent preservative. At least **200 tons** of honey is used every year to make cough medicines and other sweets all over the world. Lemon juice with honey relieves whooping cough. Honey has an effective role in bringing the drunk patient back to a stable state. Glucose deficiency reduces the strength of the heart muscle. The use of honey is able to fill this gap. The sweet spot in asthma is above all. **Rime Cuven**, director of the Institute of B-Culture in Paris, says: “Honey has an immense role to play in bleeding, rickets, cancer and physical weakness. Children are allowed to eat honey instead of sugar. Sugar causes tooth decay, but honey does not. The use of honey makes the newborn healthy and strong. Mix one teaspoon of almond oil with two teaspoons of honey and use it on cut or burn wounds. Infections, common wounds, skin ulcers, rotten-throat wounds are cured by the use of honey. What did you realize from this? What Creator has said is perfect and true. There is no doubt about it. It is a book revealed by the great Allah. Lead Image from Google

Zinc deficiency (Part-01) Some of the predisposing factors of zinc deficiency are excessive phytates and phosphates in diet; excessive copper in diet; Malabsorption ; sickle cell anaemia ; hepatitis ; chronic blood loss, chronic parenteral alimentation, rheumatoid arthritis, trauma surgery, burns and excessive sweating. One form of severe zinc deficiency is Acrodermatitis Enteropathica, a rare genetic disease in which zinc absorption is significantly impaired. Severe dermatitis usually appear in the first few months of an infant's life, particularly when the infant is switched from its mother's milk to cow's milk. This can be successfully treated by giving 30 to 50 mg of zinc/day. Premature nutrition may also suffer from zinc deficiency The manifestations of severe zinc deficiency in humans include bullous pustular dermatitis, alopecia, diarrhea, emotional disorder, weight loss, intercurrent infections due to cell mediated immune dysfunctions, hypogonadism in males, neuro-sensory disorders and problems with healing of ulcers. If this condition is unrecognised and not treated, it becomes fatal. Zinc and It's Functions *****Zinc*****: Adult contains between 1.5 and 2.5 g of zinc.Zinc is present in all cells, tissues, organs, fluids and secretions, although about 90 percent of the body's zinc is in muscle and bone.Over 95 percent of the body's zinc occurs bound within various metalloenzymes of cells and cell membranes.Blood plasma contains only 0.1 percent of the body's zinc.Zinc plasma level is about 96 **μg**/100 ml in adults and 8.9 **μg**/100 ml in children. *****Functions***** : Zinc performs many functions as a part of every cell in the body and so zinc is essential for normal growth, development, reproduction and immunity. Zinc is also involved in maintaining a healthy appetite, assisting in the perception of taste and maintaining capacity for night vision. Zinc is involved in these functions not just as a component of metalloenzymes, but also in specific interactions between zinc and various hormones. Zinc plasma level is about 96 **μg**/100 ml in adults and 8.9 **μg**/100 ml in children. Human and animal tissues contain about 200 enzymes whose activity depends on the presence of zinc. Some of these enzymes are alcohol dehydrogenase, alkaline phosphatase, carbonic anhydrase, carboxypeptidase, deoxy nucleotidyl transferase, DNA polymerase, glutamic acid dehydrogenase, superoxide dismutase etc. Zinc is considered as an antioxidant nutrient. Zinc is essential for the maintenance of protein structure and for the metabolism of proteins and nucleic acids. The maintenance and replication of genetic material (DNA & RNA) and the use of genetic information to generate specific proteins are dependent on zinc. Zinc is involved in cholesterol transport and in maintaining the stability of lipids within the cell membrane. Zinc-dependent enzymes are involved in the synthesis of long chain fatty acids and various prostaglandins. Vitamin D Toxicity There is no extra benefit from intakes in excess of ***200-400*** IU/day, the currently recommended intake for infants, children, adolescents and young adults. Intake of ***100 μg*** of vitamin D can cause hypercalcaemia in infants. Hypercalcaemia can cause irreversible damage by calcification of various soft tissues of the body, including the heart, lungs and kidneys. Most cases of hypercalcaemia in adults have been caused by vitamin D intakes of ***25000 to 60000 IU/day*** continued over a period of ***1-4 months***.The first symptoms include loss of appetite, nausea, weight loss and failure to thrive. The early symptoms all disappear quickly as soon as all sources of vitamin D are withdrawn from the diet.If the state of hypercalcaemia is allowed to persist for a long period, however, the calcification of soft tissues can eventually cause death. There is no evidence that excessive vitamin D production ever becomes a problem simply as a result of over exposure to sunlight. Some special functions of UNICEF (part-2) Hi friends, How are you all?Hopefully everybody is well. Now I want to discuss about some special functions of UNICEF. You can see the first part from here.So let's start😇😇 https://read.cash/@Meher89/some-special-functions-of-unicef-part-1-df67c29a *****Monitoring infant growth rates:***** Poor physical growth is linked closely to overall health and development, and affects a third of the world's children. UNICEF works with governments and non-government organisations on a range of issues from growth monitoring to prevention and management of childhood illness. At this time,UNICEF supports growth monitoring in health facilities and communities in more than 40 countries, generating information that is used by the immediate cake takers and local health workers to assess child growth, analyse the causes of any problems that exist, and determine necessary action. *****Providing nutrition in emergencies :***** Young children, pregnant and lactating mothers are extremely vulnerable in emergencies. UNICEF's foremost priority is to prevent death from starvation and disease and to reduce malnutrition by supporting therapeutic and supplementary feeding, providing essential micronutrients and feeding orphans. The long-tern goal is always to work with communities to address the underlying problems that create these dire situations to prevent a future occurrence or to devise better coping strategies. *****Nutrition and HIV :***** With HIV/AIDS,UNICEF's focus is two fold:reducing mother-to-child transmission of the virus during breastfeeding and meeting the nutritional needs of those who are HIV positive or affected by HIV/AIDS, such as orphans and children living **in** households where family members have HIV.Strategies include providing voluntary, confidential testing and infant feeding counselling for pregnant women, helping governments develop infant and young child feeding policies with HIV guidelines, encouraging and supporting breastfeeding, and promoting optimal infant feeding in hospitals. *****Supporting community-based programmes :***** Families and communities are the key players in the battle against childhood malnutrition and must work together to assess, analyse and take action to solve any problems. UNICEF'S strategy is to empower community members to become their own agents of change.UNICEF'S is to work with government to support participatory, community -based programmes focussing on children's survival, growth and development. The Tamil Nadu Integrated Nutrition programme in South India and the Iringa Programme in Tanzania are among the largest and most well known community-based child survival, growth and development programmes.Thailand, Combodia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Uganda, Kenya, Madagascar, Ghana, Niger, Oman, Brazil and others are working on similar programmes. *****Related programming:***** UNICEF'S programmes in the area of child and maternal health, basic education, water and sanitation, and improved child protection contribute to the reduction of child malnutrition. The development of a milk supply within a country has also received UNICEF support. More than 200 milk processing plants in 41 countries, have been set up in cooperation with FAO. Fish farming, poultry raising, gardening, digging of wells, testing of protein mixtures and iodisation of salt in areas of endemic goitre prevailing are some of the programmes supported by UNICEF. UNICEF depends entirely on voluntary contribution. Nearly three-fourth of its income comes from various governments. The rest comes from organisations and from individuals through the sale of greeting cards and other fund raising campaigns. Some special functions of UNICEF (Part-1) ***United Nations International Children's Fund*** was created at the end of World War 2 in 1946 to relieve the suffering of children in war torn Europe. It continues today to respond rapidly in crisis helping to recreate a sense of stability and normalcy, in children when war, flood and other disruptions occur. It is now known as UN Children's Fund. For more than ***55 years*** UNICEF has been helping governments, communities and families to make the world a better place for children. Part of the United Nations systems,UNICEF has an enviable mandate and mission, to advocate for children's rights and help to meet their needs. UNICEF now works in ***161 countries,*** areas and territories on solutions to the problems plaguing poor children and their families and on ways to realize their rights.UNICEF's regional office for South Central Asia is in New Delhi. Its activities are as varied as the challenges it faces. *****💕Functions of UNCEF💕***** *****Infant and child feeding:***** UNICEF works to promote, protect and support exclusive breastfeeding and to educate families about care and feeding practices. The end goal:to empower all women to breastfeed their children exclusively for the first six months and to continue breastfeeding, with complementary food, well into the second year.UNICEF has two active ongoing programmes;the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) and International Code of Marketing of Breast milk Substitutes. *****Delivering vital micronutrients:***** Micronutrients enhance the nutritional value of food and have a profound impact on a child's development and a mothers health. UNICEF works with governments to deliver key minerals and vitamins - iodine, iron, vitamin A and folate through supplementation, fortification and promotion of micronutrients-rich diets. To achieve the goals of virtual elimination of vitamin A and iodine deficiencies, UNICEF collaborates with a diverse group of public and private organisations, forming alliances such as the Vitamin A Global initiative. *****Promoting maternal nutrition / preventing low birth weight:***** Improving the nutritional status of pregnant women is essential to reduce maternal deaths, miscarriage, stillbirth and low birth weight. UNICEF focusses on the need to improve the status of women and to provide adequate nutrition, care and rest during pregnancy and breastfeeding. UNICEF is also working to prevent low birth weight in infants through the Low Birth Weight Prevention Initiative. This programme provides multi-micronutrient supplements for pregnant women and is being piloted in 11 countries. Functions of Iodine Iodine is one of the essential micronutrients required for normal growth and development of the human brain and body. This trace mineral is present in a minute amount, accounting for approximately 0.00004 percent of body weight. The body contains a total of 15 to 23 mg of iodine. Over 75 percent of this is present in thyroid gland. The rest is distributed in salivary, mammary and gastric glands and the kidneys. Within the circulation, iodine occurs either in the form of free iodide ions (I) or as protein-bound iodine (PBI). *****Functions***** : Iodine plays an important role in the synthesis of triiodothyronine and thyroxin. The thyroid hormones play a major role in regulating growth and development. They can stimulate the metabolic rate by as much as 30 percent, resulting in an increased rate of oxygen use and increased generation of heat. The activities of the thyroid hormones are critical for the normal development of the brain. They increase the proliferation of brain cells and regulate other processes involved in brain function.Thyroid hormones are important from the 4th month of intranterine life to the third year of postnatal life.Hypothyroidism (in which insufficient thyroid hormones are produced) is associated with defective and disorganised development of the brain, resulting in serious impairment of brain function. Thyroid hormones regulate the conversion of carotene into active vitamin A,the synthesis of protein and the absorption of carbohydrate from the intestine. High cholesterol levels are associated with hypothyroidism, whereas hypothyroidism leads to low levels of cholesterol. Thyroxin is also known to be essential for reproduction. Factors Affecting Protein Utilisation Today I want to discuss about some factors whose are affecting protein utilisation. So let's start💕 *****Amino Acid Balance*****: An excess of one amino acid may in certain circumstances, reduce the total nutritive value. It is now recognized that relative amino acid requirements vary with age. Therefore the value of the pattern of amino acids in a specific food or diet towards prompting growth will vary considerably depending on a person's age.It is the ratio of the amino acid to nitrogen in a food relative to the ratio of the need for that amino acid to nitrogen that determine how useful a particular protein is in meeting the protein requirement. Therefore a protein may have an amino acid pattern that meets the needs of one age group, while it may be relatively limited in meeting the needs of another age group. *****Calorie intake*****: The protein content of the diet cannot be evaluated without consideration of the adequacy of the caloric intake. When the caloric intake drops below a certain critical point, protein will be deaminated and used as a source of energy and cannot be used for the synthesis of tissues. *****Immobility***** : The ability to synthesise protein is greatly reduced among people who are immobile.Elderly who are bedridden lose protein mass even when dietary protein and energy seem adequate. There has been a similar problem among astronauts, who lose protein as a result of both weightlessness and immobility in space flight. *****Injury*****: An increase in nitrogen loss after injury is well documented. High protein intakes either before or after injury do not prevent this loss. However, losses are recovered more rapidly once healing begins. *****Emotional stability:***** Emotional stresses such as fear, anxiety or anger increase the secretion of epinephrine from the adrenal gland, which in turn causes a series of changes that result in the loss of nitrogen. Students lose nitrogen under the stress of exams.Other stresses that can result in nitrogen loss are severe pain, emotional anxiety, reversal of biological rhythms caused by night shift work, extreme cold and jet travel across time zones. The Role of Fat in the Diet Hi friends, How are you all?Hopefully everybody is well.I am also well by the grace of Almighty.Today I want to discuss about the role of fat in our diet.So let's start,🤗 *****The Role of Fat in our Diet:***** *****Source of energy :***** Fat is the most concentrated source of energy in the diet. Each gram of fat releases 9 kcals of energy, when completely oxidised to carbon dioxide and water. *****Satiety value:***** Fat tends to leave the stomach relatively slowly. It can still be released from the stomach for upto 3.5 hours after a meal with the precise time depending on the size and composition of the meal. This prolonged stay in the stomach helps to delay the onset of hunger pangs and so contributes to a feeling of satiety after a meal.Due to this, moderate fat reducing diets are currently considered more successful in weight control than very low fat diets. *****Carrier of fat soluble vitamins:***** Dietary fat serves as a carrier for vitamins A,D,E and K.Also fat at a level of at least 10 percent of total energy intake appears to be required for the absorption of vitamin A precursors from non fat sources such as carrots.Anything that interferes with absorption or use of fat such as obstruction of bile duct depresses the supply of fat soluble vitamins to the body. *****Palatability*****: The presence of fat in food or its addition to food is responsible for much of the texture and flavour of food. The marbling of fat throughout the lean muscle of a steak contributes greatly to its tenderness and flavour.Frying improves the taste of food. Many of the substances that are responsible for the flavours and aromas of foods are soluble in fat so that fat tends to carry these flavours and aromas and mix them throughout the food as a whole. Hormonal Control of Blood Sugar Levels A number of mechanisms function to maintain blood glucose at a remarkably constant level (70-100 mg/dl) under fasting condition. Many hormones are involved in regulating blood sugar levels. *****Insulin*****: It is produced by the β-cells of the islets of Langerhans in the pancreas. It has been called the "feasting hormone" because its liberation is enhanced by a high glucose level in the blood. The mechanism by which insulin lowers blood glucose involves an increase in the rate of glucose utilisation for oxidation by increasing facilitated diffusion of glucose into muscle and adipose cells. Insulin increases glycogenesis and glucose is stored as glycogen in the liver and muscle cells.Insulin enhances lipogenesis by the uptake of glucose by adipose and liver cells for conversion into fat. *****Glucagon*****: It is produced by the alpha cells of the islets of Langerhans. It has an effect exactly opposite to that of insulin. It causes a rise in the amount of sugar in blood by increasing glycogenolysis by activating the enzyme phosphorylase. It enhances gluconeogenesis from amino acids and lactate.Insulin and glucagon may thus be considered antagonists and their opposing effects at least in part maintain carbohydrate metabolism in a steady state. *****Epinephrine(adrenaline):***** It is a hormone secreted by the chromaffin cells of the adrenal medulla. It favours the breakdown of liver and muscle glycogen to yield blood glucose (glycogenolysis) and decreases the release of insulin from the pancreas, thus raising the blood sugar.Secretion of epinephrine is increased during anger or fear, and the subsequent glucose formation provides extra energy for crisis response. *****Glucocorticoids*****: These steroid hormones elaborated by the adrenal cortex also influence blood glucose levels by stimulating gluconeogenesis. These hormones reduce glucose utilisation in the extra hepatic tissue and also increase the rate at which protein is converted onto glucose, thus counteracting the action of insulin. *****Thyroxine*****: Severe lowering of blood glucose concentration increases thyroxine secretion.Thyroid hormones enhance the action of epinephrine. Hepatic glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis are increased, leading to a rise in blood glucose concentration. Thyroxine also increases the rate of hexose absorption from the intestine. *****Growth hormone :***** This is elaborated by the anterior pituitary gland. This raises blood glucose level by increasing amino acid uptake and protein synthesis by all cells by diminishing cellular uptake and increasing the mobilisation of fat for energy.
