A couple of years before I was born the internet was born (January 1, 1983, to be exact). This technology would change the world forever. Since then the internet has changed the way we learn, communicate, and work. The next evolution of the internet was started when the world was introduced to Blockchain technology.
From what I have been reading a lot of people were skeptical when the internet first came out. They had no idea how big it would actually become. It is crazy how much the internet has grown and how fast it has become. I think that technology is advancing too fast for a normal human to understand. Machine learning is upon us and growing at a substantial rate. The internet was a game-changer in the 80s and 90s and I think Blockchain technology will be a game-changer for the 2000s! Ever since Bitcoins release, Crypto has been evolving at an uncontrollable rate and becoming a financial powerhouse.
There has been a new type of internet that was first launched in 2018. It is called Unstoppable Domains! These are domains that are unstoppable as you can tell from the name. They can not be taken down by anyone and you own the rights to the website. My website is going to be hattyhats.crypto. I have already purchased the Domain name and am now waiting until the ETH2.0 upgrade happens. The reason I am waiting to do anything with this is that it is on the Ethereum blockchain and as we all know the gas prices are out of this world. You can also use ZIL. I am not so sure about the fees for ZIL. Maybe in the future, we will see ADA come into the show. I know this month there is big news with ADA and smart contracts.

I am all about this new Domain names idea. This is not only your website with Unstoppable Domains but it is also your wallet address for whatever Crypto you connect to it. Once you have one of your own Domains then all someone has to do is put your domain name in the recipient address on a compatible wallet like Coinbase (and many more). Instead of having to put a long Crypto address. This is an easy way to always know your wallet addresses. Instead of having multiple wallets addresses, you only have a Domain name.
I will go over the wallet address part of your domain in just a couple of minutes. First I want to go over the price of your Domain name.
Prices
As you can see the prices are fairly cheap. I chose .crypto because it sounds good and catchy and it is on the Ethereum Blockchain which is already the leading Crypto in Smart Contracts and NFT's. If you can think of good names on Unstoppable Domains then you can buy the domain now and hold it for the future in hopes of someone willing to pay top dollar for it. Personally, I just like the fact that it is my wallet address and I have a website connected to it.
Have you ever tried to create a regular .com website? It is ridiculous and you have to pay a monthly amount to keep it up and running (Probably an annual plan too). With Unstoppable Domains, it is a one-time payment and the domain name and website are yours for life!

This just shows you how much a domain could be worth if you can find the right one and hold onto it. I personally would never pay $50,000 for a domain name but maybe that is because I have nowhere near that kind of money.
Connecting Your Wallets
Above is a short video on how you add your address's to Unstoppable Domains. I have not connected any of my wallets yet because I am waiting on the ETH2.0 upgrade to come through so the gas fees are not so ridiculous. I tried to add my Bitcoin and Ethereum wallet addresses and the gas fees were over $100!!! This is unacceptable. This is why ETH2.0 is such a big deal. Once this update happens Ethereum is going to take off more than it already has. I can see Ethereum being the top Crypto one day. It is upgradable and multi-purpose. Anyways let's get back to the main topic.
Your Crypto Website Domain
Unstoppable Domains is still a baby and has so much to give already. Your domain can be used as your wallet address for all of your Crypto as well as your very own personal lifelong website. The process of building your website and posting it is fairly easy. The only problem I came across is the gas fees. Once again I was stopped from creating my website because I could not afford the outrageous gas fees. This is a big problem for the Ethereum community and I am sure all of us are hoping and praying this problem is resolved with ETH2.0. This big Ethereum update is going to change the game when it comes to using the Ethereum Blockchain.
I have just recently gotten into Unstoppable Domains. At the moment it is not for everyone and you should proceed with caution. This is an amazing idea but there is still so much that needs to be done.
I want to warn you before you go and pay for the domain name that you will need to verify it and activate it on the Ethereum Blockchain which we all know comes with some pretty high gas fees. You can not do anything until you have done this. So the domain name is $40 but there are other fees you will need to make if you want to get it up and running. This is why I suggest getting your domain names now and letting them sit until ETH2.0 is released and the fees are way down. The fee to activate my domain was not that high (around $8) but it was an extra expense I was not expecting. I also want you to keep in mind that when the ETH upgrade happens the price of these domains may go up. If fees go down then the chance of prices for things will go up. These are just my thoughts and I suggest you do your own research and find out what is best for your life and wallet.
