We are back!!!
I've been in front of the system for hours trying to write what I have planned for today but the hangover of yesterday's Classico victory won't allow me. Yesterday was all about football for me. I watched one match after the other and it was an exciting experience.
For days I've been anticipating the Classico and when it finally arrived, fear came in. I know we've reignited our power since Xavi took over, but the constant feeling that we haven't faced real challenge keep on looming. I know Sevilla and Athletico are big teams. They both suffered in the hands of "X4VI's" men. Four goals were scored against the two teams and it seems they've turned it into a culture. Against Galatasary I saw a Barca team ready to take on the world again. The true grit of a team is shown when they go behind in a game and have to play catch up against their opponent. They succeeded and I started typing my "we are back" message.
Yesterday Barcelona made me proud, I lost my voice shouting. It could have been 6 to 7 goals if we were more clinical but being Xavi, he decided to be merciful and left it at 4. Note this is the second el-Classico victory for Barca in the space of 7 days. The first was the female team winning 5 goals to nil in their title-clinching match. Now, they need to take each game one step at a time and never underestimate their opponent.
Madrid needs to get their house together. Don't let this defeat affect them because Chelsea won't be so merciful when they meet. Hopefully their talisman Karim Benzema will be back in form by then.
Is Tottenham getting their Mojo?
Elsewhere in England, it was a Kane and Son show. The formidable two were at it again. Harry Kane keeps on showing that there's more to his game than goals and Sonny continue to show everyone the reason why he's being tipped as one of the best Asian to ever play in the EPL. However, it is yet to be seen if Conte's men are truly ready to fight for the Top 4 or it’s just another fluke.
PSG crumbling
Yesterday's result might have no impact on where the title is going at the end of the season but it doesn't do Pochetinno and his men any favour in front of the angry fan. It was a total disgrace and shambolic display from the team. The midfield looked dishevelled and the forward men were starved of chances all through. Poch's days at Paris might be numbered.
Many will say the absence of Messi contributed to it but I disagree with this. This team need to play like a team and not like some confused super chefs in a kitchen.
Drama at Ajax vs Feyenoord
This match was nothing short of drama. The Klassiker as it is called lived up to the hype in all aspects. It started with the Ajax banner burning from the firecrackers held by the fans. It delayed the match and when it started it was nothing short of spectacular.
Ajax had the last laugh thanks to a late goal by the wizard Antony and what better way to celebrate it than the famous Messi celebration at the Bernabeu a few years back.
He went on to cap it with a red card at the end.
Exciting matches all over the world
Other t matches were played across Europe. Man City and Liverpool know they will have to battle it out to meet either crystal palace or Chelsea in the final.
Lastly, I can't help talking about Frank Lampard who seems to be getting it all wrong at Everton. One'd think with what Iwobi's goal did to them the last time they played, they will have enough motivation to spur them throughout the rest of the season but it was another disappointing performance.
Till some other time guys, byeee...

Thanks for Reading!⚽️💚🪙
Barcelona FC rose up from the depth of humiliation, only if Manchester united could do the same.
