Plagiarism is a grave offence

Over a year ago when I joined readcash and noisecash  I wonder why the site was so strict with plagiarism. Don’t blame me, I came with the thought that noisecash is like Twitter where people copy others' tweets and post as theirs, what will determine the engagement is the number of followers they have or how popular they are. Moreover, I thought it was meant to be another Twitter, but with the option of making money.

With time I understand that there’s no free money anywhere, you can’t be posing someone else’s work as yours and expect to make money from it. That’s robbery. Yesterday I saw Mj’s article about someone who steals articles from here and posts on hive, making a lot of money n the process.

As if on cue, my friend shared a post on his WhatsApp status yesterday, it was a screenshot of several people posting the same thing on LinkedIn. Seeing people plagiarise posts on Twitter and other platforms isn’t as shocking as seeing the so far big businessmen and women do the same on a platform meant for professionals.

Plagiarism might be the new menace in society. plagiarism is a criminal offence that shouldn't be accommodated at all. The same way stealing is treated in society same way plagiarism should be treated. It is unfair to the authors who put in their hard work and make their facts available to the public so that people can learn from them.

It is also unfair to the readers and platforms who are robbed of the opportunity to learn from the original author, which may lead them towards a future full of mistakes.

A long time ago we experience a surge in plagiarism cases on this platform but somehow it was tackled swiftly, maybe this is possible because of the number of users we have here which is little compared to those on Twitter and LinkedIn. To monitor the activities of every user is tough and these cheaters always have a way of rephrasing things to beat the plagiarism check.

Cross-posting

This is the reason why most websites don’t give room for cross-posting because people can pretend to be someone else,  perhaps if there is a way of verifying the validity of people’s claims it will be good. Recently, I seek Bro Ola’s advice when I was about to post on hive and he explained some things to me. If these websites can provide a unique code that can only be seen by the account owner it will be nice, this way one can link two accounts together,

Rise on noisecash

Recently I noticed that the number of spam comments on noisecash is increasing every day. Probably the long absence of admin is the reason for this. Just for a little cent, they drop several similar comments on various posts.

The freshest experience I had was a few days back when Sir Fexonice wrote a short post on Noisecash about losing close to $3000 on a site he’s been working so hard on for long. It was written in a simple form, easy to understand but I was shocked to see someone write “ … amazing achievement” and end it with a promise to read the article. I couldn’t hide my anger because I’ve been seeing this same user complain about not receiving what he deserves. My anger evaporated when I realize he’s working like a bot, dropping this same comment on any readcash-related link he sees.

Conclusion

plagiarism in the online world will continue but there is something you and I can do which is to report such people to the right authorities. For all I know someone, somewhere might be republishing my work and yours somewhere, making money from others’ efforts.

Also, I hope popular sites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and co can work on ways to fight this menace before it becomes a norm in society.

Thanks for Reading! 🤗 💚🤗

Some people are so lazy to make original posts resulting in them copying other people's works and pretending that it's theirs. Sadly they benefit so much from using it. All I know is that karma is digital and it will also haunt them down one by one.

Plagiarism is something that's suicidal. When a particular author will sit down and rack all his/her brain just to write something meaningful to the populace. And someone else out there, which has no contribution to the content. Will then copy and paste it to be theirs.

The best you can do is. If you realize you love the person's content, you can just pick a line or two and then put then person's name in your own write up. So that they can Know that, the main source is from that person

Plagiarism is a crime and it actually create trouble when one didn't ask someone's authority to copy his or her work or ideas

It's very rampant everywhere in Facebook and I even don't know who says the words cause they don't quote it or say who is the author. And I am angry to those people who earn easy money but I believe there will be a bad karma to everything.

I think were there are no laws people see the slightest opportunity to play the game and its literally so annoying... you see them even on social networks, either comments or a post... yesterday I saw that somebody used Joshin's post for the bch_sun giveaway as his own I laughed hard.. its common originality always stand out

I love your ideas about plagerism. But I shall be on side of cross posting by same person. Yeah there should be code who will owned by author.

It is difficult for these evil minded people to do their own hard work, so they find it easy to stole other's work. We should must go to support them.

I don't know why I can't tip anyone here. Any idea why?

Anyway, thanks for tagging my article here, Gideon. And yeah, as much as cross-posting gives us more reason to earn, I think every blogging platform shouldn't allow such. By doing so, it's a lot easier for scammers to earn money from people's hard work. Should always be original content everywhere.
