I was privileged to attend a Seminar yesterday after leaving the hostel. I got there late but was about to catch up with the second session which was taken by Pst. Nihinola Latona. Here are some of the things she said in conjunction with that of the MC's and others.
Who is a Giant?
A giant can be said to be someone who is extremely large or big. It is said that some Giants have up to 6 fingers and 6 Toes. They are powerful and well built in all ramifications.
The above definition is describing the physique of a Giant. However, the term "Giant" isn't used for the physique alone. One can say "Lionel Messi is a giant on the field" yet we all know he isn't the tallest of all players. This goes to say Giant is not just a word that describes the physical outlook.
The mentally one has, the Confidence and the way one carries oneself makes one a Giant. To explain further what a Giant means, she enucleated each alphabet that makes up the word "Giant"
The Letters in the word Giant
One would expect her to start with "G" and of course what comes to mind again is "G for Goal". But everything starts from the bottom, from the least to the Top. Don't get me wrong, each of the letters is important, but for the safe of better understanding we started from "T"
T-test
These are the trials and tribulations of life. Every giant faced a test. It's inevitable. For you to rise to the top, you have to encounter and conquer some problems. Just like students are made to sit for tests and exams before moving on to another level, one must pass through series of tests in life before one can get to his goal.
Everyone's test differs. The path to fulfilling your goal is quite different from that of another. Mr A might have it easy while Mr B will have to take a longer route. To make your Spinach black you can soak its seed with warm water before planting, while warm water will kill a pumpkin seed.
N-normalcy
This is a place of ease, Complacency, Our comfort zone. This is a problem we all face. We get comfortable with the position we are in and fail to aspire for more. We are lax in our comfort zone and don't push our self out to test new waters. Remember the Comfort Zone is a Danger zone.
A-Association
Connect with the right minds. The importance of connecting with the right people cannot be overemphasized. I've been in various positions where I meet the qualification but wasn't given the final nod because I didn't know the "whos". I'm not saying you can't get something through hard work or merit. No! People still do and I have too, but you need to connect with the right people now, build your connections wherever you meet yourself.
A friend once said to me "The friends you make now are the connections your children will need"
I-inspiration
Get inspired by people who will move you forward. Find a mentor whose footstep you can follow. A lady asked a question about how a content creator can stand out among a budding list of content creators we have right now. And I believe that's a question we all on this website have been asking ourselves. The question was answered but I believe it was addressed in answer to another question.
Imitation they say is the best form of flattery. (Paul Michael Levesque-Triple H)
You find yourself in a field with so many competitors and successful people, why don't you learn from them. You are a genre you follow but it seems people don't appreciate it, you checked out other posts which you believe has little quality compared to yours. Truly it's good to remain authentic to one's style, but there is something called "adaptation". Learn from those that came before you. Try their tactics but in the process don't forget who you are. Once you gather enough audience, you can pitch what you have to them.
There are so many "Ronaldos and Messis" out there who remain unknown, only if they can push themselves, learn from others and remain humble. This isn't a go ahead for you can copy or engage in plagiarism.
God
Never forget the God factor. The biblical David was small in size compared to Goliath. Going by the bible's description, Goliath was a Giant, but right from the beginning of the battle, he has lost. For he went into the battle with a Giant called David.
David was the true Giant. He had what Goliath didn't have. He had "God on his side". Whatsoever you are doing, put God first, learn to pray and put things into his hands. He never disappoints his own. I'm a living testimony.
Conclusion
This isn't another "aspire and perspire to acquire the required Maguire...". I know most of us (Nigerians) now detest Motivation speakers maybe because of the illogical cases they give or one past experience or the other. Believe me, the above Words are things you should look into. We all are Giants, some of us are finding out steps, some of us are asleep and some of us are Dead. We need to awaken the Giant in us. And the best time to do so is Now!

Thanks for reading Giants! ✍💚🧗♂️
Perfect! We are already giants but we sometimes forget that we are. It's also not good to be giant as always. There are just special times we need to be one.
